I've noticed a lot of these lately and sorry to flood your boards with more. But I'm definatly going to pick up MPistoleer. I'm just not sure what I want to suppliment my group with. I'll most likely be going witha group to take out big mobs(not much of a soloer). So if anyone has some tips for me, that'd be great.

I'd like to see some input here as well. I'm not much for the PvP side of things and after being gone from the game for six months I'm wondering myself what Template would best suit PvE grouping.

if you only care about pve, you can make a really cool pistol template cause you dont need to add in other pistol skills.
as a pistoleer, you get fan shot for a x4 cone attack, and stopping shot for a x5 single target, random pool attack.You can spend alotmore skill pointsand get either BH pistols forsome really good attacks (which you dont really need in pve), and good accuracy and speed mods which can help. Or you can spend more points to get the smuggler attack Last Ditch which is x6 (barely better than stopping shot.)
so if you only want pistols, add in either BH or smuggler. either 0040 BH, or 0040 smuggler, or master smuggler, and maybe a small amount of tka skills for defense or meditate or whatever you can afford
a completely different option is to not increase your pistol skills and settle for "good enough" attacks and take master doctor. you can always buff and rez your group, which could be very important if no docs are around. the only prob with that is you wont be a killer solo'er in pve. you can hold you own, pistoleer has good defense (and your own doc heals), but not super offense other than your x5 stopping shot.
but realize, any of our good pvp templates will do just as well in pve, so there are tons of options

Pistoleer is great but if you want to hunt Rancor and other big game, you'd be much better off with Rifleman, or even Carbines. Pistols may be the fastest, but you just cant do enough damage to take 4 or more enraged rancor by yourself.

I know I won't be able to take any big game by myself, but that's no problem. I would rather be in a group to take stuff down. And thanks for the input everyone.

One template I had for a while that I enjoyed a lot in PvE was MBH + Pistoleer 0/0/4/3 + TKA 0/0/0/4. The TKA skills gave me huge defensive bonuses, and if I was ever taking too much damage I'd simply switch to some VK's and throw on CoB and the damage would stop. If you wanted the BH pistol enhancements, I'dtry M. Pistoleer + BH Pistol + TKA 3/0/0/4 or TKA 0/3/0/4 (the latter of the two could be pretty cool since you'd get Melee Mitigation 2 and even more defenses).

My current base template is TKM / M-Pistoleer and I love it. I have troubles with some of the more extreme MOBs but for the most part I can walk through the valley with no fear at all. If I'm doing PvE in Melee, and the beastie warps, I can pull my pistol and kill it that way. If my group needs ranged support, I'm there. If they need a tank, that's me too.
Good pistols and good knucks make an awesome combination. Not the absolute best for absolutely everything, but very good for pretty much anything.

The strongest for pve is this
MasterPistoleer, Desperado, Rogue. You cant heal your self however you can FD all day long. I can solo pretty much anything in the game with this. This is my fav temp for Corvette/DWB. The only way I die with this temp in PVE is when the npc dizzys/kd. So watch your ham very carefully when you are dizzy and the npc's are using posture down attacks.
another really good one
MasterPistoleer, desperado, Novice medic. With this temp you can use stim B's crafted by a master doc. It's pretty good in PVP. If you use all the right foods/armor/weapons and buff your mind to around 3.7k you can win alot.
