I've never really dabbled too much before, only two professions, and pretty much just for fun and topass time. When I got Master Pistoleer and Master Smuggler, I just picked up 2(or so)-0-0-0 Medic, just to keep myself alive out there, and I kept Ranged Combat from Marksman. But I was walking around for months with 30 or so extra skill points (actually I think it was 26 if you want to be exact). So a few months ago I thought I'd take up what I could of Rifleman. So I ground it out for a little bit. Meh, it was ok, but without going further it was kind of pointless. So several more months passed in which Icompletely stoppedusing my Rifles... Just recently, probably a month ago, I thought I'd step into TKN just for kicks again... it was cool, kinda fun. But thenlastnightI thought, why don't I put these points to REAL use?
So I decided to try to take a step into BH Pistols. I don't know why I never thought aboutdoing it before. I'm a hard-core pistol guy, so Ican really use those mods. It's a lot of points just to get to BH... I had to drop Ranged altogether and just keep Novice Medic... I think after I'm done I can take back either Ranged I orFirst Aid I, but I don't really remember my "sitchyation". Anyhow, I ground up to Exploration 3 in about an hour and a half tonight, killing Bocatts and Mountain Dewbacks and Mountain Worrts for 250 Scout XP a pop. It waseasy being a Master Pistoleer and Master Smuggler... I'll probably have Exploration IV in an hour if I log tomorrow, hopefully pull in the last 8K Combat XP I need to get Novice Bounty Hunter... and since I maxxed on Pistol XP 6 months ago (900K!) I'll have BH Pistols III as soon as I'm taught. Then a couple hours to finish of BH Pistols IV.
So anyhow, this is sort of a self-grafitying post, really no point to it... but will adding BH Pistols to Master Pistoleer and Smuggler pay off? Will this be the ultimate Pistol template when the "Combat Upgrade" shows up? If they add Dual Pistols, I think this'll be great fun. I'm stockpiling Pistol attachments, too, or trying to. =)

Well congrats, its a pretty fun template, a nice variation of attacks and last ditch is pretty awsome. I think the only thing it lacks is a dizzy special, although i could be wrong... panic shot + low blow can keep an opponent out of commission for a whole fight to hehe. ALthough ive not done much pvp with it but id imagen itd work well.
Also get some Dodge food and on top of the 105 dodge mods you already have its pretty clever

DAMMIT. I totally forgot, or didn't realize, you still need Master Marksman which I dropped a long time ago, to get NBH. Crap. Now I still have plenty of points to waste. And I wasted those few hours getting up to Exploration IV, too. Crap. Why would you need to learn rifles, of which there's no bonuses for under Bounty Hunter?
So basically because I didn't think about it, I wouldhave to drop some Smuggler or Pistoleer, which I'm never going to do... Doh... I think ifI dropped Master Smuggler I might as well drop everything and just keep Dirty Fighting... I probably like the totally ungratifying Master Smuggler title more than dabbling in BH =), even though combat-wise, I'd have better mods and some new specials. Maybe I'll try it someday, but just for kicks. Hopefully I won't need to though, if the Combat Upgrade helps Smuggler. It's a damn shame the devsnever added any real pistol mods in Smuggler-- all you get are the specials, no? The rest is basically wasted points (especially slicing, unless you go master).
Anyhow...

Sorry. I was briefly excited that I might get some cool new mods, being a Pistoleer/Smuggler for 9 months and not much else does that to someone.

Because thats what it takes to be a decent pistoleer. Why I have to go to other professions to get pistol specials beats me...The only pistoleer specialsI use are...healthshot2, fanshot and stoppingshot.

right now I am running the following:
Master Pistoleer
BH Pistols 4
Smuggler Pistols 4
Jedi Luck +4 (useless lol)
Jedi Ranged Defense +20
Jedi Melee Defense +20
leaves me with zero skill points, but I love the template...having a good time with meh pistolsin PvP again (the triple master was fun but sucked using pistols in PvP)
