My solution is to have dual wield pistols asa singleweapon.
Weaponsmiths would design "twin-packs" of guns, thus you purchase two pistols as a single item for one price, and the stats are always combined (versusthe necessity fortwo identical pistols or two diff pistolswith averaged stats). Then, the only real programming to be done is graphical toillustrate a gun in each hand (two sequences would be cool, one firing alternately - Matrix-style,the otherfiringboth guns simultaneously).
- The twin-packs should be a Master Pistoleer skill.
- The twin-packs should include acid and energy damage types AT A MINIMUM, though others may be added without complaint.
- The energy damage type should be represented by a twin-packs of DL-44s!!!
- The stats need not be muchmore than a single DX2 or Republic Blaster (no serious increases to speed or damage), but the main tactical advantage should be AP2.
This satisfies the SW enthusiasts who want a DL-44 for their main weapon, the tactical pistoleers who want AP2 weapons, the gamers who want to look cool with two guns, the weaponsmiths who could use more weapons to make, and the programmers who don't have to expend much more time/effort than is required to make silly /hot or /rude emotes (I have to admit I have used them, though) - and it doesn't "unbalance" the game unduly.
Thank you.
