Thread: Can I just confirm, we know that MTPS isn't working as intended... right?
so I would say its working pretty much as it should. Higher damage would be nicer, but even teh spin and sweep attacks of the melee'ers dont have extremely high damage mods.

You are 100% correct, and it has worked that way for a very long time. It has not been fixed. It's an unreliable area of effect pistol special. It's damage is mediocre and it's slow. Hardly an upgrade over fanshot, surely not on par with other master specials like strafe 2. It's brokena nd has been for as long as i can remember. Only the new guys that see damage scrolling across the chat box think it's working as intended. Nice to see another observant pistoleer posting to confirm what we confirmed 3 correspondants ago. It has worked this way for a long time and it hasn't been fixed.
I don't know if this was it's original intent, or if it's just one of the many many things the guide has been wrong about since the start. If it was meant to do that, it'd certainly be a worthy master level special.

Thats what I was thinking, why else would it be different to all other area attacks? I guess the original Idea was to hit MTPS, followed by a desired special and you'd area attack with that.
It might be a bit overpowered if that allowedcertain Pistoleer, Dirty Fighting or Desperadospecials to be spammed over a 32marea attack. ![]()
Oh, also I found that if you /tar self and spam MTPS then your target gets bounced around and you default attack everything.
So I guess we need to know a few things... without taking the combat upgrade into consideration:
1) Can/should/could MTPS be fixed to enable multiple targets to be hit withpistoleer specials?
2) If not, should it just be a 32m random HAM area attack (in the sense that all other area attacks work).
No doubt LordMaxx is better informed as to the plans for our profession and is bound by an NDA, but this is a problem that needs to be addressed, the fact that he seems to think it "It sorta works I guess..." worries me.
So basically : What do we want and what could the Devs get MTPS to do with a quick fix should we be blessed with one?
