hey I'm doing my templete as TKM, fencer 4/4/4/0, Pistoleer 3/0/4/0 and pikeman 0/0/4/0, but that's not anything to do with my question:
My old faithfull scout blaster finally died tonight. I'm already pistoleer 0/0/2/0 but I've used that blaster since I was certed with it. I'm qualified then for republic blasters and the like (I don't need to say you all know) but i noticed when I was at a vendor, I almost bought a "krayt republic blaster" that was 350k (nice stats tho) but it said that I was not certed in the examine window. This confused me, as I thought krayt simply meant it was made of krayt loot. I began searching the skill trees to see who did indeed get this jewel for any novice pistoleer, and could not find a "krayt" certification.
What's the deal with this? Would I be able to use it without the penalties?

You want to find the cert for republic blaster, it requires novice pistoleer. It´s called krayt republic blaster because its probably krayted (krayt tissues have been used when making the gun) and the WS named in that!

i ran into this same problem when i was a novice pistoleer, yes you are certified for it, there are a number of pistols out there that say you arnt certified but you are...a good rule of thumb is that if you are certifed to use a variation of it..then your certifed for it, once you buy it it will switch to certificaton yes. I ran into the same problem with my Geo Sonic blaster wich requires pistol tech 2 to use, but even when you reach pistol tech 2 it still said not certifed until i purchased it...hope this helps out

k thanks all, didn't want to waste a good chunk of credits for something I couldn't use. =P
