you should take that powerup off lol
it's making your pistol slower and less accurate

Actually it makes your speed faster, but less accurate. Speed power-up add more DPS to any weapon above all other power-ups.

Not to mention DPS really doesnt mean much anyhow. I do far more damage with a damage pup than without it even though it lowers my DPS.

Not only that the Modified Speed is under 1. Because everything caps at 1 speed, you're not really firing at .7. So as they said, you're basically losing accuracy and not gaining much speed in return. Damage is the way to go.

DPS is nothing but a ballpark estimate, a quick glance for simple comparison. I've completely stopped looking at it, espescially as a Pistoleer/BH. Max Damage and SAC are where it's at, with speed as close third.
With that being said, you don't need the speed power-up on that gun, as it's making the DPS look a lot better than it really is. Pop a damage PUP on it, or an SAC PUP, though with a cost over 100 SAC I'd favor the SAC PUP myself. You'll find that you're dumping a LOT more damage out if you do that.

This was true before CU, haven't seen any confirmations of this since it went live.

I have a modified attack speed of 0.78 on one of my pistol. After running a simple macro of
/rangedshot %TT;
/pause 0.78
/rangedshot %TT
I notice the second ranged shot didn't work.
I didn't had time to run a serie of test, altering the /pause command, ( altough i did changed to 0.80 just to see, still no effect) but i'm pretty sure that most of the time we can't effectively reach some modified attack speeds we see/have.

Every special move has a timer that says when another move can be used after it has been used.
For instance, Quickdraw is about 0.5 seconds with my speed mod and Bodyshot is 1.5.
Theoretically if you had a gun fast enough and high enoigh speed mods you could get the timers on a lot of specials under 1 second and then be able to output damage at the speedcap with your most damaging specials.

The speed powerups are the way to go without a doubt! However you acc will decreased this is easily overcome by taking a cripix (sp) made by your local artisan. I have found on my precu pistols with low SAC cost this little food makes my de-10 sing a toon i never thought it would sing again. Additionally, there will be an explosion of 14 -12 pt artisans with the CU due to the interesting things they can produce, some of the best long term buff food, powerups, vehicles ect. So in a word these powerups will only get better.
