Thread: disarming shot timer?

I tried to look this information up but it would seem that most of the stickies are far out of date. I was just wondering if disarming shot has a timer on it before it can be used again (I dont' mean the little greyed out clock movement on the button, but like the 30 second KD timer) or if it can basically be spammed?

perhaps I need to get a definition on what disarming shot does, I thought that was the shot that flipped the toolbar down a couple slots. It really drives me nuts that all the stickes are outdated now lol. I feel like such a noob since everything I knew about pistoleer is no longer accurate and apparently the new information i thought I had gathered is wrong lol.

disarming shot is supposed to "make the enemy fumble with his weapon" or something along that line....thus inducing no attacks for around 5 sec or so...

It used to be a 5 second period in which the victem would be unable to shoot, but still able to move and (I think) heal.

However this was changed without patch notes or explanation in one of the first few post CU hotfixes. Now it prevents combat action for up to 5 seconds, or until the target takes damage. I use it to cover the one second gap between paralyze and the paralyze cooldown.
