it is just a very fast recharging special attack with medium damage. depending of your speed , one can fire it at really absurds speeds.... I normally use it when i knock someone or something , with my speed i'm able to place3, sometimes 4of them before the target gets up. It has a hefty action cost still.

Another use for is to use it as a final move when a traget is almost dieying.

as a master pistoleer/master smuggler (pre-cu) and a 0040 bh, I love the quick draw attack. It sucks down my action but it fires at about 3 times to adv body shots 2. it seems to only do 15% or so less damage. I normaly leave it as my default attack, and switch to placed shot when my action drops to nothing to recharge. It's worked very well for me. I can drop single cl80 npcs using quickdraw as default and crit. shot as it recharges....drops them quick

Hmmmm. I've always been reluctant to use quickdraw, but I'll give it a try. It should work well with the Proton Carbine, since it's got a good speed and low SAC.

Thanks for the replies! I think I will give it a go. Just wondering now what to clear from my toolbar to use it. Kinda neat to now have a profession where all the specials are decent enough you have to study which ones work best for most situations..... lol.
