Thread: This is how I get exp, may be helpful -Dantooine
I can't wait to try some of your single pulling methods out. This is one of the most frustrating things in SWG for me, the fact that 90%+ of all mobs attack in packs. Thank you.
Not working for me. I've tried 3 different, pack-attack species. Tried it by targeting the closest mob @ 70m, and many of the farther ones still came after me. I've tried it by targeting the farthest mob @ 70m, and still the same.
Oh, my bad. You did say when they come in two's. I wish my prey came in two's. Nm.
yea i cant figure out how to get 1 out of a pack of 3+ aggressives yet. If they are friendly you just have to figure out if getting close to them makes them run and use that to your advantage to get 1 alone or figure out if getting close makes them get close to you and use that to your advantage.
The only way to get 1 single in a pack of 3 is just wait till they spread far enough apart which is hardly ever but the higher end mobs with 10k+ hps usually spawn in 1's or 2's and you can get them single.
One thing i have noticed though although i havent quite figured it out yet is if you are using mask scent and run by a pack of aggressives sometimes 1 will come out and like follow your scent like its tracking you and I get one that way but I havent figured it outwhere I can control it yet, like the others, although I'm still working on it. When i figure that out ill be sure to post it here.

I realize as a Tera Kasi Master that I'm wandering the wrong forums, but I just wanted to drop some kudos for one of the few other people who discovered what a great hunting area Dantooine is. I'll also give a little information: Watch out for those lizards, they poison, have a ranged spit attack, and are resistant to a numbe of things (naturally examine them first). The boon of this planet in my opinion is the Huurton Stalkers and Howlers (Huntresses and Matrons on a lower level). These creatures are agro and assist, can both stun and blind, and are pretty quick on their feet, but are succeptable to knockdown and will get you 3800 (howlers)-4800(Stalkers) per kill.
Use the previously mentioned pulling methods in addition to this one. For an agro mob, unequip your pistol and run up to it. Depending on your explore skill, at a certain range the mob will agro on you. Just before you reach that range, turn and run back away from the mob. 9 times out of 10, it will start to chase you and go agro. Get the huurton out of range of it's buddies before you start to attack. Once you're safely away, have at it. You should be safe to solo one creature at your leisure.
Mind you, this will get you killed form time to time, but I used this method with great success as a Tera Kasi novice, and I see no reason why it wouldn't also be successful as a pistoleer.

This is to help some pistoleers out who is having trouble getting good exp or for others who may want to know how to single pull some stuff. just general good info i think that could be helpful.
I just recently moved to dantooine after exp dropped a lot after getting bh4 and some advanced pistoleer skills. I now get 5000exp a kill on those slinker lizards, hunters, thune guardians etc. Usually the higher end things have 1 vulnerability. Get the right pistol to hit the vulnerability and use pistol whip.
Slinkers are weak to acid like a lot of creatures there so just pistol whip it and use a dx2 and you will do fine if you can conserve action to not run out.
***A lot of times they come in 2's so this is how to single pull it :
- Target the farthest one and make sure its like 70m away and then make sure the other one is closer to you like say 60m. attack the one you have targeted at 70m. You wont actually attack so that one wont attack you,but beacuse you have attack on the far one, the one closer to you will automatically attack you. Then just change targets to it and you have a single. The initial one you targeted at 70m stays there and you can then kill it next.
to single bols:
- They are really friendly and get in your face so what I do is get close to one on the edge and back up slowly. Takes a bit of practice but eventually you can figure out how to make it follow you back slowly and when its far enough away you can kill it and its single.
Thune guardians are just random spawns it seems. You will see 1 every now and then out and about and its weak to heat if i recall right so fwg5 would do best on that.
Keep in mind these things hit hard as hell so you may want to use armor while fighting and then revert back to clothing to regen.
Some things are only weak to cold and since there is no cold pistoli usually avoid them. All in all im getting about 600,000 pistol exp in an evening here solo.
