I have Stances and Grips 4 plus Spec. Abilities 3

so some melee defense and def. vs stun, knockdown, dizzy, posturechange

50 times i was attacked with various ranged specials that did one or more of the following

Didnt resist once

50 times attacked by a TSM that did one or more of the following

Didnt resist once

Think we can confirm thats def. mods dont do anything atm.

You know, people have been saying this since beta. One of the biggest reasons Pistoleer is attractive is because of the defensive abilities, and here we find they don't do a **edit** thing. Please, Please, Please push this issue!

Varvidos01 ,

Thanks. It's already in our latest issues, now we have a test to back it up. Goes in the same bucket with dodge...it seems no defenses are working yet on players.

It is interesting how they do seem to work in PvE though...

Everything works, just not for the PC's, i see things Dodge all the time, 5 times in one fight w/ imp. medic once!

With maxed dodge, I see myself "side-step" maybe 1 out of 200 battles (at the minimum, usually more!)

Melee and ranged, however, would just cause a "miss",I believe, so it's much harder to tell - doesn't it just reduce the accuracy of the person hitting you (if you have +20 melee defense, the guy punching you have -20 to hit?)

One more thing to note about dodge is that, if it ever kicks off, then it's while I am trying to run away from something. The bad thing is ... my character stops walking/running/burstrunning to do the dodge animation.

I bet the critters that can then catch up to me and finish their job like it pretty much

I dodged a couple times tonight. I was laying prone, and was being attacked by a thug with a rifle. I actually rolled! Animation and everything! Thats the only time I remember it happening though.

Needs to be fixed. All professions defensive abilities are virtually useless. There is a huge imbalance in offensive skill potency vs. defensive skill potency.

I have also experienced the prone/roll dodge. I've also noticed the side-stepping that is done when a melee fighter approaches me. Don't recall seeing a dodge during a firefight though, but it may just be displayed as another miss.
