I gotthe delay on my FGW5lowered to 1.4 with slicing. Stats are 41-160 dmg, 1.4 attack speed, 11/35/17 HAM ratio. Anyone managed to lower their pistol attack speed below 1.4? (original speed on my weapon non-slicedwas 1.9).

Lowest I've seen is a 1.1 scout blaster on lowca without powerups. (Really good speed slice though)

On Eclipse, I have a DH17 pistol that was 1.7 brand new, 1.2 after slicing, and I've seen it hit 1.0 with a good powerup. **edit**, talk about fast...

you do realize that you are screwing yourselves right?

A pistols speed cant be lower than 1shot/second if i remember hearing correctly. therefore, if you have advanced quite a bit up either bh pistol or pistoleer, then you should have like +50 pistol speed or so. So if you have a 1.4s attacking pistol, your pistol still caps at 1.0s. Therefore, you waste +10 pistol speed. this is the reason i always hope to get damage with slices.

Yes and no... (on screwing yourself). I do prefer the damage boost as well (also because of the HAM drain on fast weapons), but consider:

Someone ran some good looking tests that showed that the subtraction from weapon speed skill is applied after the multiplier for your special attacks. So with special attacks often doubling your pistol delay, your 100+ pistol skill taking a second off is still very helpful.
