I know this is the pistoleer board, but I figure you guys had to go through pistol/novice marksman anyhow, right? I can't seem to figure out what this attack does. It either seems to do nothing or hit the creature in the leg. Is it any use whatsoever? I was happy to get to pistol specialist, excited about a new attack, but confused with it all the same. A little help here?

ah yes my friend, it is actually a very useful move

your probably not seeing the use of it because your still atacking low health mobs

its a damage over time or "dot" atack

every 20 seconds it will cause the mob to bleed x amount of hit points

as soon as u get novice pistoleer, you will get health 2, which u can use on top of health 1, so u hit both and every 20 seconds u get 2 bonus hits on top of the atacks your doing

Ahhh...I see. That does sound good then! So you basically start off the battle with one of those, make sure it lands, then start in on bodyshot 2?

Start off a battle with 2 of them...

Both healthshot1 and healthshot2 stack on any target your hitting, HS2 usually hits for double the damage of HS1, but when both are combined, you get 3X base bleed damage per interval.

its especially nice when your grouping with people more strong than you, makes sure you get at least your 5 percent in on a big mob....

i know youll get more than 5 easy, but it does pad the xp you collect

just gotta get it off before someone else does

Maybe u didn't hit it with HS2. It works for me every time, but u have to pay attention to see if the shot hits or misses. If u hit ur target, it should look like this in ur combat tab:

HS1 will look like this: Sap Shot hits creature xxx damage.

HS2 will look like this: Sap Blast (sp?) hits creature xxx damage.

Note: Make sure u hit ur target at least once with any shot besides HS to get any xp.

The mob will only get one bleed icon. Even when you stack your health shots or your rifle and carbine friends do their dot attacks... still only one bleed icon. But they'll all still be bleeding your target.

I tried stacking HS1 and HS2 but I only get 1 bleeding Icon on the mob.

Does that mean I didnt stack them? Or do you alwaysget just1 bleeding Icon on a mob?
