Hey all. I finally made Novice Pistoleer last night. Have a few newbie-ish questions:

1. As a Novice Pistoleer, am I now able to use DX2 pistols?

2. Which Pistoleer tree would be ideal for me (I'm a Scout/Marksman) to progress through first?

3. My title is now Apprentice Gunfighter... Is this the same thing as Novice Pistoleer?

1. Yes

2. I went with Stances and Grips since it gets you the Stopping Shot and the (currently non-working) defense bonuses. Others like tactics to get to Body Shot 3. And if you're missing a lot consider Marksmanship, but you shouldn't be missing much against mobs (players is another story).

3. No, Apprentice Gunfighter is the title for Pistol Specialist from the Marksman profession. The title for Novice Pistoleer is actually Novice Gunfighter. I know, doesn't sound that much better, and I wish they'd made it something else

1 - Yes, able to, but you may not want to. Depending upon what you're fighting (watch their resists using /examine if you have any scout skills) and how good the resources have been on your server, DX2s may not be the way to go. Scouts, FWG5s, and DH17s seem to have the best DPS usually.

2 - That's depends on what you're looking for, but I can tell you that Pistol Melee Defense 1 is your knock down, so you'll want that ASAP, but it's not a decision because it takes combat exp, not pistol. Of the other three, BS3 isn't that good and the fan shot / stopping shot / etc... whole line is random pool damage, so you may find the line that gives pistol accuracy the most help.

3 - Sorry, I've never turned on my titles at any point, so I have no experience with them.
