Thread: template for blacksun?

ok i heard blacksun guys are on yavin4 and i want to go kill them and see what i get.im currently doctor 4/4/4/1 and pistoleer 1/2/4/2 i havent tried to kill them yet but can u tell me if this will be able to kill them?i would be buffed and have good armor too. if u think it wont work please post a good template for killing them. Thanks

the fact that they were roaming around was a bug, and has been fixed..... it's likely you will not find them until the death watch dungeon actually goes live.......

unless they are not linked to the death watch dungeon, so someone correct me if i'm wrong

To answer the original question... I killed a lot of Black Sun NPC's but my template is a bit more advanced than yours (master pistoleer / rogue with hella defense stacking). They do not give you any state changes (kd+dizzy, etc). They just hit hard and have good resistances, and the BS Assassins have medium armor. Since you are a doc you should be able to make it through them but you will have to heal a lot. Wear good composite armor... they fight ranged and hit with energy damage.

They are still spawning randomly - but it's a very rare spawn. I know people who have looted things from them on Endor... not sureif they are still onYavin4. I spent two hours riding around and found nothing... while a friend of mine looted quite a bit of BH armor in the same general area. So it's still around, but very rare. They spawn two at a time - an assassin and a lower level one like a thug or henchman. They respawn 2-3 times and then the spawn moves.

Yes, they definately are spawning, someone on our server already has a full suit of Bounty Hunter armor, Im just 3 pieces away from getting a full suit myself, they also drop the Jetpack base. Non of em have dropped any schematics from what I know though so if thats what you are looking for I think only the ones on Endor dropped em.(I have spent various hours roaming around Yavin).


As for the template, as the poster aove me suggested, get yourself some good Composite armor, Im at the moment a TKM/Doc so I can go through them fairly easily, but they DO hit pretty hard, the Doc will come in VERY handy. With your current template, it will take you some time to kill them, they have pretty high resistances, and HAM ranging from 12k(for the thugs, the easiset)-35k(For the assasins). Henchman and Guard come b/w them. Most of the resistances range from 40%-70%. They are definately not as tough as the Death Watch Wraiths or Ghosts that spawned for those two days on Endor, but still pretty tough.


A hint to find em, search in the Northern parts of the Mining outpost. I have also noticed that there are more spawns earlier in the day right after server reset, Im guessing there could be a spawn cap per day on them, since after a morning's killing spree, when I log on later I cant find anything at all. I had an hour in which I found 4 seperate spawn points earlier in the day, just roam around on your swoop and look for red dots.


As a friend of mine said the other day, finding em is half the battle. Good Luck.

I believe it is BH, commando, squad leader, ranger and maybe one more profession only.

I had a chest and pants equipped and don't have any of that.

I figured they were bugged. I was running missions on Dant ( in a solo group of 20 ) and i pulled up a Blacksun misison. I said what the hell and took it ( I had no clue what they were ). I spanked them and got a some treasure maps.But ever since that day I have not been able to pull another one of those missions.

Anybody can equip BH armor. Mandelorian is restricted to the professions mentioned above. BH armor is used to make mandelorian in the new Death Watch bunker.
