Can a master pistoleer take out a rancor lair... fight against 4 rancors at the same time?

Yes...with buffs and decent armor. Additional melee defense from one of brawler elite trees will help also.

Do not forget - there is a new drink against dizzy - you will defiantely need that if you do not use a pet.
High kinetic armor - mine is 80% for rancors

Yup, its easy.. You need buffs and a good dx2 pistol. I was only knockdown dizzied 1 or 2 times and that was because of a test with how many rancors I could aggro.. Counted 8 of them on me.. I ran killing one at a time.. Finally I feigned recharged and took the rest. If you take them one at a time and tap you will have no problems. No need for special food or smuggler specials. Just good old healthshot 2 and a good powerup on your dx2 pistol. Takes longer than a melee profession but still very easy..

Yes, as a master pistoleer with a really good DX2 it isn't too hard. I just send in my pets and then fanshot away! Can even get rancor missions solo if I group with 2 graul maulers as a master CH
