Thread: weird template what to do with those 32 points ?

Hi peeps,


I'm a bit toying with my template actually. I'm heading to the triple threat smuggler template (M Smuggler, M Pistol, M TKA)

But as soon as i finish that, i was planning to go ranger for the organic harvesting...


Anyway, as i want only to be able to harvest+track and keep the M smuggler, this leaves me only 32 points to invest.


Ranger 0.0.4.0

Master smuggler

Brawler 4.0.0.0

Marksman 0.4.0.0


This said, the only viable branches are TKA or Pistol.Having some nice shots in the smuggler tree, i'd rather keep pistols..but what blocks? I'd say 0.0.4.3 (for fan shot, speed, melee defense and close ranged KD)? Do you think i'll still be able to actually KILL the mobs i'm hunting with that template ?

Can't believe I'm about to say this. Keep in mind I'm a hardcore Ranger, and master pistoleer. But if you already have master scout and you have master smuggler, master TKA and master pistoleer, then why oh why do you really need any of ranger? If all you want is to harvest and hunt, trust me, with those combat professions, a little vaghash, you are going to out harvest "in time" a master ranger any day. Keep in mind, a master ranger may get the higher harvest mod, but that is less points for combat professions. Unless the ranger went master TK or Master swords, they are not going to be able easily and quickly solo things like you could with those three.


Also, if you really want the tracking ability, then just 0.4.4.0 or 0.4.0.4in pistoleer. Truely, most of the pistoleer specials are worthless if you have smuggler. The things you need from pistoleer are the accuracy, found in the marksman line, and either the speed from the far right tree, or the techniques tree with the better of pistoleer specials. With master smuggler, the rest of pistoleer is just gravy. so think of it like that.

Well, thanx for the feed-back.


Bare in mind i have no scout skills at all right now (M Smuggler + M TKA + M Pistol = no points for scout)

But following your reply,i'll toy a bit more with a charac builder to see what's possible then ;-)

OK check this over on a builder. Keeps you with full options of using pistols from smuggler and full unarmed from TKM and the defence of both as well as pistoleer, and some harvesting ability from scout.


Master TKA. Master Smuggler, Pistoleer 0404, and scout 1040. It's to bad it wouldn't get the mask scent of exploration 2 in scout, but at least with explore one you get a little more Terrain Neg, and they hunting four is OK harvesting. Add in some vaghash, and awesome combat skills, you're good to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did he say he was going to master pistoller, smuggler, and TKA ?


You can't master all 3.

yes you can master all 3 with 3 skill points left over..
