I was wondering, as i'm getting up the pistol tree, what kind ofpistol i should keep in my bag to adapt to most situations.

I've got a DX2 (acid), Rep blaster (energy) and FWG5(heat) pistol hotkeyed on my bar...but i notice alot of mobs are vulnerable to stun.

I dont have the deep pockets needed to get my hands on a geo blaster, si i guess my only choice there is a tangle pistol...But the only ones i find (though in very good weaponsmiths shops) have REALLY crappy damage (like 68 - 110 or so, unsliced) and are slow like hell :-( Did i miss something or should i really "focus" on getting that geo blaster? Any other gun i overlooked? I could try to save and buy a geo..but again, i dont really want to use that as a grinding weapon..so i'm kindof stuck no?

well Isoas, i used a tangle for a long time till the nosian came out. after a good damage slice and a min/max damage powerup their not to bad compared to most low end genosians. id quote my old tangles stats, but i cant remember them off hand.if your strapped for cash do what i usta do buy 4 or 5 tangles, get em all sliced, and pick the best one(2 if your lucky). tangles tend to be one a the cheapest pistols due to all the WS making genosians nowadays. im sure you can find domeone willing to make em for under 5k per.

now stunners are not really grind weapons. mostly i used the good ol dx2 for the grind. anyway, stunners dont have any ap value so their really meant for taking out mob's with stun vuln, or PVP of course. i think youl notice after you hit master, your stunner will be invaluable especially when using the higher end specials. even on a low end stunner, a few HS2 or LD shots will drop most stun vuln mob's

I'm a Mon Calamari Pistoleer, you don't get more nerfed than that

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, ?How can we do this and not make another EQ?? We didn?t want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we?ve created a system to make that happen." Julio Torres

I would suggest carrying pistols of every type of damage. You never know when you run across that mob that's vulnerable to only one damage. And keep the pistols that get not-so-good slices, as you can switch them out to destroy the lairs. You don't want to wear down your good pistols on lairs. Exceptfor the stunpistols, because you can't damage lairs with stun.

Keep your eyes on your servers trade forums and always check weapons (and other) vendors..

I got a geo from our trade forums for 100k on an auction... and I got another for 10k from a vendor...

That's a very good suggestion on watching the trade boards and checking vendors. In fact, you can probably find a few notices of people with looted items vendors. You can probably find a geo that beats your tangle (at least on damage)at an affordable price. Weapons in the 100 max damage -150 max damage you can probably find without too much of a problem. It is the crafted2.6 speed 220 max damage weapons that seem to break the bank. And that doesn't even talk about krayt enhancements...

acculay at that low of level i woudl suggest getting a tangle or 5 getting them sliced and hope for speed. then carry +ideal range powerups. so you can accualy hit cuz the range mods on tangles suck donkey bits.
