Love the concepts, shame the devs are too dumb to read it

Star Wars - Published 1977 written by George Lucas (Allegedley) ISBN 0-7221-5669-3
' "Your father's lightsabre," Kenobi told him. "At one time they were widely used. Still are in certain galactic quarters.'

Explanation for only Jedi PCs using them is .....?

Pistoleer Specials Explained - Wishlist

The purpose of this post is to explain theory behind some of the various pistol shots (including those from other professions) and to convey my wishes for additional specials.

General Pistol Theroy: The pistols that exist in the star wars universe do not simply require pulling a trigger. They have three controls in addition to the trigger. Greater speed and accuracy stem from mastery of the various controls and their utilization in a harmonious fashion.

Beam Collimation Control - This control allows the user to control the width of the energy pulse that strikes the target. It is controled via a knob on the back of the pistol by the thumb.

Wavelength Adjustment - This controls the spectrum of the energy pulse. This is adjusted by varying the tension on the pistol grip.

Power Setting - Can be used to adjust the amount of energy emmited on a given shot.

Specials:

Health Shots - Heathshot One - The pistoleer sets the BCC to wide dispersal on impact (wide as in a square foot patch) and sets the WA to a slightly longer wavelength. This causes the skin to break in multiple places. This is a weak shot and will cause slight blood loss. Healthshot Two - The pistoleer sets the BCC to a thin of a beam as possbile causing skin penitration with the hopes of piercing an organ or major blood vessel. This causes more severe bleeding of the internal and possibly external variety.

Double Tap - This does not involve messing with the controls. To master this technique, the pistoleer must learn to anticipate the up kick of the barrel and apply downward pressure with the non dominate hand in order to place 2 shots in the time of one normal shot. The downward pressure is adjusted to either be slighter greater or slightly less than the force of the kick in order to migrate the shot from torso to arm or torso to leg. The effect is a decrease in both the action and health pool.

Stopping Shot - This involves sending out an energy pulse that begins with a shorter wavelength than it ends. The beam is collimated larger than a normal shot. The effect is energy disperal throughout the body causing the target to stop in its tracks. This is similar to a lead bullet expanding in the target opposed to a full metal jacket bullet which would cause mainly bleeding.

Fan Shot - This simply involves lining up multiple targets in a row via quick foot work and letting loose mulitple shots.

Bounty Hunter Shots:

Bleeding Shot - A refinement of the health shot.

Eye Shot - Wavelength radically adjusted into the visible spectrum. Aimed at helmet visor to cause temp. blindness. If no visor is present, the beam is collimated finely enough to cause actuall eye damage.

Torso Shot - Wavelength is taken into the IR spectrum and widely colimated to ignite the clothing of the target.

Body shots - I have yet to figure this one out. Could just be point and shoot.

The rest are self explanatory for the most part or maybe you can inform me.

Wishlist -

Addreneline Pool for pistoleers - They should have an addrenline boost that can be improved through skill boxes. This would negate wounds and battle fatigue though duration of boost. It would also allow greater speed during the boost. It would have a downer effect and/or have a delay like regular burst run. The Last ditch shot for smuggler would devestate the addreniline pool if it had a pool instead of operating the way burst run does via delay.

Holsters - There should be a holster as well as holster flourishes. You should be able to pull gun out in a spin around finger, one shot kill a weak monster or NPC and spin it back into holster. There could be other flourishes to give "Trick Shot" a meaning. It could be as simple as a continous finger spin.

Please feel free to correct me or add other stuff.

You said "collimated." Lol.

This is a great interpretation. It's much better than just "This shot does something magical that causes the target to bleed." Well done.

I was kind of wondering if anyone thought my theories on the specials were realistic or not.

Good job, did you want to expand to the other specials? Also, you may want to add what benefits each shot adds, and send in to TH to try to revamp our profession (and they shold include your descriptions!).
