If we ever get some status effects I seriously hope this is at least one. I group pvp nightly and my role is often very limited (just spamming eye shot witha geo...yay...fun). Intimidate is by far one of the most powerfuleffects in the game (takes all secondary defenses down but, more importantly, reduces damage from the other player by around 75%) and right now the only class that gets it is novice brawler. 15 skill points for one of the most devasting pvp tools in the game. With a ranged intimidate our role would be more defined and we would be much more viable in pvp again without having to pick up any brawler skills.

Yeah, the 75% was in regards to using a geo (about what it seems to do to me anyway).

Disarming shot would be perfect for this. Disarming shot description says it hits the players weapon. Well, by doing that I think you could pretty much intimidate your target. Either that or stun them by surprise ![]()
As it is now, disarming shot is an AOE attack. LOL

I'm really hoping that we could get the intimidate effect placed on disarming shot. It fits the role perfectly, and would be easy to implement.
One correction though, intimidate reduces damage by 50%, not 75. However, if you combine it with a stun effect the damage reduction seems to be greater.

Anyone know exactly how much this reduces damage? Intimidate use to half the damage and I heard this one was on the order of 20%.
Confirm? Refute

I did the numerical testing on it.
Intimidate does 20% reduction, and Stun does 10%. I figure if you use some attacks that reduce a players speed by 50 pts like Low Blow, you can get their damage nearly halved.
