Thread: Does aim make specials more consistant
Thanks,I assume if it gives a modifier hit that would show up in the damage?
For example if hit something with stop shot I currenly get a broad range from 500 - 1600, with the aiming modifier I assume both of those numbers would go up?
Understood with accuracy, but are you saying the aim modifier doesn't come into effect unless we use the aim marco?
You have to actively use "aim" before you do your special and that special gets a to-hit bonus. If you want the special after it to get that same bonus you have to "aim" again. Aim can also be stacked up to 3 times for an almost guarenteed hit at the expense of time. For example:
Aim > Aim > Aim > BodyShot > Aim > Bodyshot
would give a triple to hit bonus on the first body shot and a single to hit bonus on the second bodyshot and the sequence would take up 6 attack rounds.
In short you use "aim" like you would any other special, preferably before your best damage attack so the extra combat round it takes you to fire isn't wasted.

My understanding is that when you first get the aim maneuver, it grants some bonus to accuracy I'll call X. The +aim mods we get in the pistoleer tree stack on top of X making the aim command even better. But it is still just granting more accuracy to the next shot and nothing more. No effect on damage. So yes the +aim modifier has no effect unless you use the aim maneuver.
The Pistol Accuracy mods we get do affect your accuracy all the time (or in different positions for some).
That's just how I interpret what I've read in game on it, I don't know if this is correct.
