I need a little help, I am currently a Novice Riflemen and I have pistol 4. I am trying to decide which is a better combat profession for me. I do PVP a lot, becuase I just can't stand the Rebal scum
Could anyone tell me what they think will be the best combat proffesion after the big patch? I don't want to go half way up Riflemen and have it nerfed so bad that a kid with a lolipop could do more damage then I. Please help!

Oh and I forgot to add that I play on Starsider and we don't have T21's or DX2's yet so that might help my descision.

I hate to say this, but this is definitely a decision that's primarily based on your preferences. Using a pistol is very different from using a rifle. I've tried both, and I found that although it's nice to have mind-targetting attacks, I hated almost everything about rifles. I hate their huge range of damage. I hate their slow attack speeds. I hate having to change postures all the time. I hate that their specials chew up so much mind, which can't be healed. I could go on like this for a while, but you understand what I'm saying.
In PvP, riflemen do and will still have an advantage over many professions because of their ability to target the mind. I know that my pistoleer/doctor will only fear two things, spammed knockdown and mind attacks. Especially with nice health/action buffs running, attacking the health or action of a doctor is pretty much pointless.
Have some fun trying both out and see which you prefer. It's really not that hard to change your mind at this point in your career.
