I am currently expert with pistols and using a scout blaster with something like 75-150 speed 1.9

I was looking to upgrade to a striker or power 5 to finish off the marksman tree before becoming a pistoleer but I am a little concerned that they wont be any better than the scout.

Is the power a faction only gun and if so, is it any good ?

Will a striker of similar damage/speed be better than the scout just because its higher up the marksman tree ?

Currently there are only three guns worth having (on Ahazi at least)

Scout blaster for energy damage
FWG5 for heat damage
Scatter, if you're a dirty bh

The higher-up weapons require very specific resources to make. More often than not the required resource will cycle in with very very bad stats.

Ie: "Yay xxx copper finally showed up on my server!" "OH crap, the conductivity is 53?!"
Scouts and FWG's dont require extremely rare resources, so it's easy (easier?) to find high quality resources that will work with the schematic.
