Thread: Pistol MeleeDefense1 should have the same range as Melee profession attacks.

I keep getting in this situation..

I'm fighting a melee guy, I try to KD them with MeleeDefense1 but it keeps saying they are out of range, yet, they are hitting me. Isn't that kinda....wrong?

it is 10m...like other melee attacks....(just not the same distance as lunges)

Correct. If you and your target are standing still (to avoid lag), you can see that the range on our Pistol Melee Defense attacks is now 10m, which is the norm for a melee attack. The melee lunge attacks are 20m.

Honest, last couple days I've been getting nailed by melee while getting the out of range message..hm..

Peculiar. A coincidental string of misfortune at the hands of a lag monkey? Or something more sinister? I can certainly double check our range to make sure it hasn't been changed by mistake, but I won't get to it until tomorrow. In the meantime, others are welcome to share their experiences.
