Thread: So I was stupid enough to take on a Defense Stacker

(sigh) thought i could take on the unbuffed wookiee.... being a master pistoleer and all. Well i kited the wook for a minute. Got off 40 shots in all before the inevitable KD-Dizy. Once dead I looked at the combat log and all 40 shots missed. I was even spaming last ditch which is supposed to be even more accurate than normal shots. PvP in this game is jacked.

If you want to use pistols in pvp you pretty much have to pick up the bh pistol line. I''ve beaten every template in the game (been beat some too), rifle/cm, rifle/doc, def stackers, any melee, and i'm talking about beating fully buffed and armored pvper's. With that accuracy and speed, plus a mind attack, it's nasty with the right weapons.

I once tried to take a TKA/Rifleman in PvP. Both of us were buffed, and both of us had our stun weapons. I missed about 70% of the times I shot at him, and he missed about 5% of the times he shot at me. And when I did hit him, it did less then 100 points of damage. I tried changing to a different pistol, but got the same result. In the end, it was just a long, irritating fight with me chasing him, me getting KD/Dizzy when I got close enough for an attempted knockdown, and him kiting me all day. I ended up getting sniper shotted with him missing less then one tenth of any of his HAM bars. At least I got to see my guild jedi work him over afterwards.

And I am a BH/Pistoleer, with the speed cap on my stopping shot. And I was using a 113-214 sonic blaster, and a 65-356 republic blaster.

You shouldn't be missing stackers if you're a master pistol/bh pistol. I miss about 1 out of every 7 shots or so against a stacker. A mbh/pistol is a completely different story though.

Yeah BH Pistoleer is the best use of Pistols in PvP. I also acquired a 259 mind Poison pistol with -1 charges, 220S duration,and 89% potency recently which doesn't suck.

I rarely miss with my 400dam geo..... I think maybe 1 out of 10, but then again I have a +10 pistol accuracy tape on my gloves

You should have intimidated him first (I know you have it if you were using Last Ditch). Intimidate would have reduced his defences as well as cut his damage output in half.
