Thread: Damage multiplier for Health Shot 2 ?? is it bugged?

I just looked at that calculator and it shows it as doing most DPS second to fanshot for the majority of my pistols.

Its damage multiplier is fine, its our other specials that dont make sense. I mean, they give you a longer delay and a random HAM pool for the extra damage mod when they need lesser delay or target health (which I think the master box specials would be great for that change once fixed).

In the case of /bodyshot 2 or 3, I think their damage mods should be increased.

I love my sonic blaster, and it does make my pistol skills seem more of an asset now, but there needs to be a boost for base pistoleer instead of an expensive weapon.

Oh just wanted to add that HS2s damage mod was not at 5 or anything like that, its at 3.0 which is probably where BS3 should be. Fanshot is the only random pool that seems like it might be worth it.

Oh and actually pistol melee defense 2 has decent random pool but still not as good as fanshot and thats why I got fencer anyway.

Guys, HS2 us is the best now, especially with slow guns. Unless you have BH speed or skill mod's to speed, it is better than everything, especiallysince it is pool targeted. Just exclude PvP for this since 98% of people are docs now.

i dont know guys... when i hunt giant baz nitches on dath i regularly do like 1050ish max damage to them. they have no armor and something like 25% acid resist, andi use a scatter. so the AP is "roughly" cancelled out by the resistance.

the damage on my scatter is about 240 or something. its a prenerf sliced for speed.

anyways, my math puts the damage multiplier around 4 to 4.5 ....

i'll check again next time i log in

The other thing to keep in mind with that website was that it was last updated in December of 2003. More than likely some of the information has changed since then (healthshot2).

well i checked out this site... http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.php

but the damage multiplier seems to be off for health shot 2. it seems to do the most damage per shot of anything i use.

it beats out overcharge shot 2, body shot 2, and everything else i use right now. it also hits the body all the time, making it better than every pistol shot with fan shot beinga possible exception (for cone).

so is it bugged right now? anyone know what the actual multiplier is? i put it at about 4.5x maybe even 5x. its crazy.

Actually its been updated more recently thanthat, not long ago the health shots where not on the list for pistols, they are now, so it must have been updated...

And don't forget that the avg damage of your gun is first multiplied by the special multiplier and then by another multiplier (1.5 i think) which is why you seem to be doing more than 3 times damage for healthshot2

Just a question, I'm a master pistoleer, i've been reading aroud the boards, and it seems fan shot is very popular, i mean if u're fighting PvE one on one, health shot 2 is always better right? withotu the bonus of AOE for Fan shot its not that good cause of the randomHAM right?

Another question is how do Fan shot work? I mean i can see the benefits for range attackers, cause the AOE is easy toeffect then, but in PvE melee enemies, u can't use fan shot AOE on them if they are close to yor ight? causeeven tho they are infront of my toon i sitll only hit one, unless i start running and they run in a straight line.

Is there any tips in using Fan shot effectively? any hints guys ?
