And i thought, the best Pistoleer attack is "Last Ditch"... maybe after a Pistol whip....

Okay first of all you should not have even mention any word that had to do with the word "nerf", let alone actually say nerf. So you killed a 10k ham creature that was vulnerable to heat? Big Deal. Rifleman could have killed it without the NPC even knowing where he was getting shot from. ACarbineercould have destroyedit with one of their heat carbines. Okay well I do not really know what else to say, other than the fact that pistoleers are not strong, they are the weakest of any of the combat professions. Besides you cannot base this on fighting a 10k ham creature that is vulnerable to the weapon you are using...someone help me out here..?

(lol i tried)

I know you were being sarcastic but the sad part is that there is actually truth in that sarcasm. I was just killing random creatures on corillia.. only getting 1 point of xp.. but it was fun,but I noticed that I hurt myself more fromspecial attack coststhan the creatures hurt me.

All people know how to do is spam whatever there best attack is.. cause they are always buffed.

Anyways.. it is sad how some of the best attacks are from the smuggler line.

well i'm a bio-engineer also, andi was wandering around endor trying to get a good supply of meat. after a long haul of hunting an harvesting i decided to call it a day and logged out in the middle of the wilderness. upon my return, i noticed two mantigrues not too far from me, so i figured i'd go poke them for some samples. well what i found was a 10k HAM monstrosity with almost all resists at 70% and only vulnerable to heat, but they didn't deathblow so i figured i'd be pretty safe.

i masked my scent and crawled accross the ground, inching closer and closer. i got to the first one and was so surprised my mask never broke, i mean these guys were massive. well anyways, the first one gave me two samples and died- not too bad. the second one gave me two samples and agroed me. i figured i'd let him knock me over and then i'd get up for some more samples.

a side note: i took one swig of brandy, which was only about 230 to all stats, my HAM was 1k/1k/1.2k. i was wearing a set of 58% chitin (minus the ugly helm) and that's it.... not buffs, not really any wounds except a bunch in mind (i died a few times earlier that day trying to take out a blurrg raptor).

well back to the story. the mantigrue hits me twice in a row for over 500 damage, straight to the head. i'm thinking, "wow, this won't take long." but as it turns out, i either dodged or evadedalmost EVERY SINGLE attack that i was regenerating faster than he was dealing damage. after a few minutes i figured i'd had enough so i pulled out featherweight and whacked him in the head with it.

for the next few minutes i chugged some blue milk and healed myself about 4 or 5 times, equillibriumed (zabrak ability) and used the default attack. for some reason after attacking him, i was taking more damage.

i finished off with another whack to the head and a few healthshots to finish him off, but i solo'd that guy with the DEFAULT ATTACK.

haha, nerf pistoleer! we're getting too powerful!! this story was just too funny, i had to share.

I have noticed that when I am not buffed and I am out killing things... default attack is the way to go. I hurt myself more using specials than just letting the creature attack me. You have to be wearing decent armor but... I will throw in a special every once and a while but other than that nothing.

yah usually i won't spam specials unless i take some brandy to heal myself or some accarragm or booster blue...... doc buffs are insane, there's noreason why you wouldNOT to use specials lol

as for the attacks, i honestly wouldn't know- i'm just a master pistoleer..... but it's not hard to imagine how much more usefula ranged knockdown compared to pistolwhip is

hopefully with the combat balance they will fix our HAM costs to keep in line with the fact our dps is rather low, and fix our specials so we won't feel the need to dabble just to be useful *crosses fingers*
