Thread: Rifleman vs pistoleer or pistoleer vs stacker

Yea i just have a question about pistols pvp I found out to my horror someone can actually make me do 26 dmg to them with last ditch with a 358 pupped geo with stun armor and a psg. Now im either going to wait for revamp or go rifleman again. I know we can stack dots on them buts not going to do much unless you have mindfire since many people are novice medics. Rifleman who can heal themselves are also near impossible to kill it seems unless u have a good mind dot. Spamming eyeshot isn't the answer pvp im pretty sure especially when it does no damage to some people. I know pistoleers can be rifleman but if the rifleman is wearing stun armor/psg it makes the geo kinda useless. Please give me your advice.

he ate synthsteak, only way, even with 39% stun and a Psg I get hit harde that that by a guildie useing eyeshot with a comparable weapon. Usedouble tapto burn theough his synthsteak faster. only thing a pistolleer really has on a rifleman is defenses. Intimidate and stun negate those though. (i am a commando as well as a rifleman so i have intimidate) I hate to say it, but you are going to get rocked if a rifleman usins intimidate/flushing shot and strafeshot2 or headshot 3 on you. However (having been a master pistolleer/ bh pistols 4 / master rifleman before) try using your Health shots against him. a lot of people only wear stun helmets for encumb purposes. or get a krayted DE-10 those things are awesome.

You might do only 26 damage to start but after about 5 shots that PSG is gone and after 45 seconds his synthstake is gone. I am a BH 3040, Pistoleer 0040 and Master Pikeman. The state defense and specials in pistoleer are great.

well don't forget your tkm im only pistoler/bh 4/smug. well the pistoleer/bh/rifleman would be good if you had 2 more skill points. U could do pistoleer/bh/rifleman without torso shot though. ditch shot is sick though.

someone said rifleman/pistoleer/bh that sounds good and all but you cant get torso shot is this still a good template or no?

In this case using a DE-10 is a bad idea. Pull out your DX-2 or hopefully Scatter and start using that. The PSG will be negated and most of the time stun armor has considerably less resists to acid then others. Not only that in extended battles you can end up destroying his PSG so stun will become viable once more. Make sure to keep him intimidated and stunned all the time so YOU dont die.

another pt, which kudos to u for asking such a question to better urself, is that this game is not made for 1 vs 1 battles, its a group battles. u have to set urself up for group situations. dont get me wrong, being uber at duels is great, and lots of fun, but the pt of the game is for group interactions and cooperation. hence raids, guild wars, blah blah. me personally am master pistol/bh0030/fencer0440 and i have to say i do pretty good dam to riflemen, or any other profession.....well maybe not fencers and jedis, fencers being the melee opposite of pistoleer 
(damn dodge stackers...lol) but with my 492 pup geo, and spaming eyeshot i kill through mind, or if they have psg, switch to my trusty scatter and burn through their defenses. my suggestion is to always have other guns u can switch to when u are having no effect to ur oponent. and since i dont have lastditch, lowblow, or torsoshot, i only use 3 shots in my arsenal, eyeshot, healthshot and stoppingshot. my template is set up mainly for groups, i am a support profession, as i think pistoleer is meant to be. and other good way is to just get enough tapes and such to make urself uber in battles. as for me, my d vs dz/kd are both over 100pts, so i rarely get kd'd. my stun and blind d are both also over 90 pts. my regular pistol acc is at 160, acc while standing at 55 i think, and moving at 50....so i rarely miss any shots at all. i spent countless millions to get where i am. also speaking of dot's, i have 2 sonics, 1 fire health, and the other psn health. i stack these 2 on, no matter how many stims u got u are still going down on health, while i also put on bleed and spamming stoppingshot, its a great jedi killer
