Seems there is some misunderstanding on this shot...its actually quite simple...you will attack all targets around you...here is some proof...

The only thing Im using is multi target pistol shot and notice I am hitting them all...im even hitting the lair about 13m away.

Then my question would be... when did they slip it in or was it a fluke. Because that *was* the original change they were going to make for the attack last november or so when they changed fanshot to a cone attack, but it never happened.

Used to be it would attack everything in a cone in front of you by cycling your targets. But, I can say I havn't tried using it in a couple of months.

Yeah, it's been working like this for a while. It doesn't to a hack of a lot of damage to the non-primary target from what I've seen. Fanshot still seems to hit multiple targets as well, but it's just a stronger shot. It mainly agrros the others.

I've noticed whenever I used the special that the damage multiplier only applies to your initial target. Am I wrong in saying this?

well I did over 700+ damage to one of my off targets, so it does the multiplier im sure. But it still doenst beat fanshot Except for the fact that it does everyone around you...fan shot is a cone therefore you usually need a pet or someone tanking them so they are in a nice group away from you...and it still might be faster to just healthshot2 them down...Ill try more experiments with how long it takes to take down a group...also nice that it hits the lair since the janta/mokk lairs arent exactly lightweights.

I have noticed that the primary target seems to on average get dealt more damage than the others, but not by an overly huge margin. The secondaries are still getting hit harder than they would with a default attack...and most importantly, while this still has its quirks, they ARE getting hit. Especially with Mokk and Janta types, opening up with fanshot and then switching to MTPS when they close has been a nice combo for me.

If you're out in the open it works fine, but if there are any obstructions it completly screws up and only attacks the primary target.

same thing for me.... a rock, a tree, anything.... although i wouldn't expect to shoot anything through a tree, i would however expect the shot to keep going on to the next target
imo the shot's not completely broken, just not completely useful either

if it had a sort of warcry effect on everyone but your initial target, taht would rock, or maybe if it ignored lairs (the mobs can pile up pretty quick if you're not careful)....

maybe a health bleed, or only health damage........ if i'm surrounded by five mobs, it's not going to be beneficial to me to cycle through them all so they all die at the same time, it will be easier (and smarter) to pick them off one at a time unless this shot could kill of four mobs in the time it usually takes to kill one or two

i found that each use of the special did damage to only one of my target so i'm like **** this i might as well kill them one ata time lol, though i might have been mistaken

I made a macro to loop two MTPS and a PBA1 then I just target a lair and hit the macro and wander off for 5 minutes or so while the XP rolls in.

What I did notice is that MTPS doesn't target all surrounding MoBs properly and I had to throw in a PBA1 just to ensure that all the mobs attacking me were getting hit, effectively giving them a slap from PBA1 so that MTPS would hit them when it was used.

Also, you get no combat spam on the damage done from the shot, from the intial target you do, and maybe one other secondary target but you might hit a few more mobs and not get any combat spam.

In closed areas this shot is totally useless and will just bug and not hit anything, reporting "You cannot see your target" for Mobs that are through walls and such, and then clear your combat queue.

If a Mob dies as a result of MTPS then the shot stops and the combat queue is cleared, a bug I guess.

Bascically, this area attack doesn't work very well, other than spamming at lairs for Force XP while you make a sandwich or something.

There is no missconception of what it does. There is the fact that it won't work if there are ANY obstacles around you. The special makes change your tartget around to different things around you. If you switches to something that is on the other side of an obstacle, even a tree, your combat que DUMPS EVERYTHING in it. So I'm hitting the special several times to just keep multitargetshot everything around me, any little thing in the area will cause your combat que to dump.

So there is something wrong with it. That, and for a master special, it's weak as hell. yea yea yea, it hits multiple targets, but NOT AT THE SAME time. It switches your target around, so it would not be over balanced to have it do more damage, or some states or something. On top of making it work.
