Another wonderful template question. Aren't you all so happy?

I'm going ranged BH and am curious what you thought about the template I'm pursuing as wellas what suggestions you might make for what order I should go through this template. I'm going for MBH (currently 2/1/2/4), Pistoleer 0/4/4/4, Carbineer 0/4/0/3. I know I'll miss out on the dodge bonuses but I will still get as much accuracy & speed as I can, all of the defence v. states, and the melee defence (not to mention fan shot, stopping shot, etc).

First, for you experienced pistoleers out there, what do you think of the choices of trees to pursue from your profession?

Secondly, what order should I go through those trees? Should I finish the BH tree (almost have 3) or should I go up Marksmanship first?

Thanks in advance.

I think you are making a good choice of branches. To bad you are missing out on the dodge, the total of the pistol tactics branch is +70 to dodge, thats good defense. Or if you decide to be master pistoleer you get a total of +95 to dodge (+105 with novice). It is a tough choice to choose branches.

About the orders of tree. I would say that you should first go for the stances branch, when you get fanshot (multi target attack) the grinding speed increases. Then I would go for the BH pistols branch, because I really love torso shot and there are alot of accuracy and speed in there. After that I would go up the marksmanship branch for the rest of the accuracy and last the special branch for that melee defense.

If you are going to hunt jedis as a ranged BH it´s good to be master pistoleer and get certified for the DE-10 pistol, that is if you are rich it costs a fortune if you find one for sale. But its the pistol with the highest damage output.

First you'll want accuracy the most... then speed... then defense... least you'll need is dodge since your template is low on defenses anyways. Stick with the high-speed attack template.

I have often, and still do, considered going MBH, Master Pistoleer, Carbineer 0/3/0/0. The downsides I see to going this route are all due to the weapon switch delay. I'm a huge fan of BH Carbine's Fire Knockdown, with first strike on Jedi it is a beautiful thing. However once they get up, a ranged BH needs to be moving FAST. If I switch weapons immediately after the KD then I risk them getting up and missing all of the bonuses to them being on their back, if I don't switch and they get up and I have to run I have sacrificed all of my Accuracy while Moving by going Master Pistoleer. Of course on the flip side, they will be dizzied as well with the FireKD which buys enough time to switch to the DE-10 and lay into them with /fanshot, /stoppingshot... How I hate choosing trees. Life would be much easier if I had been like all those other and said: "I'll just go Jedi".

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
