Alrighty, I will try and keep this as short and to the point as possible.

First, I have been a pistoleer since beta 2 (which btw at that time, this prof was awesome) and continued that path into the live version when SWG was released. But, I just Mastered Pistoleer yesterday so that is why I have questions.

I have been a Master Armorsmith on Starsider since the game went live, and finally officially retired abouttwo weeks ago, so I have been working a combat temp. FINALLY!!

I am Force Sensitive and have done my first mission at Aurilia .. so, I am on my way to Jedi.. hopefully.

Now, are myquestions;

I may want to PvP.. but that seems kinda broke, and standing at the spaceport in Theed is not my vision of player vs. player combat, so that's not top priority..but I want the option if it arises.

What I do like, is PvE in-game because I can pick-up and go do my own thing whenever I want, and enjoy myself playing a pistoleer.. So, I need to be effective, and have the ability to make exp at a decent rate for Jedi exp.

So, right now I am Master Pistoleer , Master Scout ( I have to drop some of this), Medic 4-3-2-2 (considering dumping some of this), and Master Marksman.

I do want the BH pistol line, just dont know how much I need total.

That's all I have, thanks for reading this,

If you really want to do the FS Grind, you may want to master more than one weapon type. That way you won't be traveling back and forth between the Village and your chosen grinding region half as often.

For awhile I did this with Master-Pistoleer/TKM, and it worked out great. TK experience is really easy to grind quickly. Pistols.. eh, not so much.

I'm going for the Bounty Hunter line as well and my suggestion would be to get Pistols II. Since you are already a Master Pistoleer, once you get Pistols II you will be speed capped. There is no need to go any higher unless you want the Accuracy bonuses or Torso Shot.

You could instead put points into the Investigation line and start chasing those damned Jedi on our server

One thing to think about. You said you "may want to PvP." If you go for Jedi, you will have no choice. PvP is the life of a Jedi whether you like it or not. You will not have the option of when or where you PvP; that is entirely at the discretion of the Bounty Hunters.

If you want to be effective in pvp with pistoleer you need to couple it with BH for the eyeshot and fire dot, or smuggler for the dirty fighting specials. Nothing hits harder than Last Ditch.

Because of the unarmed requirement for smuggler, I woudl recomend TKM/Rouge/MP as your template while you grind your force skills. You will be great for ranged and melee, the best template for pvp in this game and be able to solo any mob with AP1, and most with AP2.

Good luck!

with master pistoleer, you "need" either BH skills or smuggler skills to get a top of the line special to spam in combat. i prefer bh 0040 with eye shot and torso shot, but you can also go with smuggler for last ditch. The only problem with going smugg instead of BH means you arent firing at the speed cap (cause smugg dont get pistol speed bonus), and you have like 50 or 60 accuracy less (cause smuggler dont get accuracy bonus).

but smugglers kinda make up for that with feign death and low blow which is a ranged knockdown. this is only smugg 0040 btw, you dont need any more than that.

you can also splash in some fencer and get melee mitigation 2 which is good for pve and pvp, and fencer also has some nice state mods you can slap on for low point cost.

as far as medic, i dont even have novice and i do just fine in pvp and in pve. id imagine it lowers your downtime, but since i dropped it i dont miss it one bit

use the link in my sig and check out this character builder. check out the following templates, and once you enter em in the builder, click "view report" at the bottom and it will give you a stat summary. you can compare and see what you like best. currently i use the first setup but lately ive been thinkin about switching to the second. and i also listed the 3rd cause many ppl seem to like it due to being more rounded (but less specialized) and also more fun.

pistol master

bh 0040

fencer 0430(pvp) or 4030(pve)

(this gives melee mit 2, and extra defenses, 0 skill points left for FS skills)

pistol master

smuggler 0040

bh 0040

(this gives last ditch, low blow, feign death and like 12 points left for FS skills)

master pistol

master tka

master smuggler

(this is more rounded as the pistol skills are lacking, but the tka can lay it down, and master smuggler is always fun to play)

Thank you all for this information.

I decided to go ahead and get BH Pistols 4 to compliment Master Pistoleer.

Works like a champ! ..
