Sorry for the newber question but does anyone know what the speed cap is?

Um, speed cap for EVERYONE is 100, right? That's the way the math works out; if you hit 100 for a speed modifier, you can shoot anything and any special at 1 per second. The way the mechanics work, anything over 100 doesn't get counted.

That's why the Rogue/Desperato/Master Pistoleer was such an amazing template. You could shoot any pistol and any special at 1 per second (pistol speed 125 total), including lastditch (with its x6 modifier) and eyeshot (targets mind). I hear adding novice commando into that certifies you for another amazing pistol.

Note: I say "was" up there because with the advent of melee defence stacking that template was seriously compromized. If you don't have serious defences from melee classes, you really can't compete in PvP.

Yes the actual cap is 100 pistol speed but at 95 and maybe even 94 you will still shoot any pistol at the cap. The thing is that you will not find a pistol with a speed over 4 so having the few extra points to get to 100 will not matter overall.

Notlow enough.

1 shot per second, just like rifles, carbines, polearms, swords, fists, and anything else. No weapon may be used faster.

Unrealistic, unfortunate,universal.
