Thread: Launcher Pistol working with Pistoleer?

Just wonder if anyone knows the answer to this question... assuming I have Novice Commando and the Launcher Pistol cert, will the accuracy/speed bonuses from Master Pistoleer work with the Launcher Pistol, or is it just the bonuses you gain from Master Marksman?
I know Pistoleer and Smuggler specials work with the Launcher Pistol, but I wasn't sure if the speed and accuracy bonuses did... anyone have any ideas?

They apply. Pistol mods apply to any wielded pistol, regardless of where the cert came from.

Yeah.....but I grinded out LLC specialization 1-4 in an hour with a launcher pistol

lol that's what i did when i still had the novice commando, but i have droped it, cause i wanted some medic to spice up my templete

Interesting sidenote... I got Novice Commando yesterday and decided to test out my Launcher Pistol on some bocatts on Tatooine. It actually turns out that if you use the Pistol Melee Defense specials with the Launcher Pistol equipped, those attacks count towards Pistol instead of Heavy Weapons XP. I noticed because I used one PMD on the bocatt, and got 27 Pistol XP in addition to the Heavy Weapons XP.

I managed to find a 246 (with powerup) 2.2 speed Launcher Pistol and it's just a hoot with Master Pistoleer...just seeing the explosive hell that 1.0 second Fanshotsgenerates on large clusters of mobs puts this silly grin on my face. Now I just have to save up the money to buy a decent DE-10 (yes, I've always been poor)... anyone have any suggestions on who to talk to on Eclipse for a good DE-10, and how much I should expect to pay?

The only benefit to getting a launcher pistol is to kill turrets and ATSTs in PvP.

I'm a BH 3/0/4/0, Master Pistoleer, Novice Commando and i use launcher pistols to hunt jedi and in PvE. They are great especially since i found a vendor on the radiant server that sell TONS of pre-nerf launchers. I have quite a few now that are over 300+ damage sliced and with a powerup are over 400+ damage. Pack quite a whollop vs. a jedi. Its great too cause it lags them and they can't see nothing from the animation. Its improved my kills, however vs a knight i would just stick with a DE-10 and medic cause knights will still outlast you.
