I remember there were stickies about it, discusion threads, and even some "its coming soon" reassurences. What has happened to this ability we have wanted for so long? Why do none of you have a thread going about it?

This topic has been discussed to death here, and there have been more threads on it than I can count. I for one have been glad that nobody's started another one for a little while.

Itwould be even better if you could shoot from these dual-seating vehicles. Get two ranged shooters in one, andride through the middle one of those huge packs of rontos that I've been seeing lately,blasting away...

I'd much rather be able to shoot a pistol from a creature mount (vehicle mounts might be too fast) than to be able to dual wield pistols.

duel wielding pistol's would be unbalanced. will never happen unless they nerfed pistoleer that bad to were ya needed 2 to compare to anything else. i myself would love it.

Some motion capture was done, and we may see it in the indefinate future (read : next year), other than that.. what Uthyr said.

I think the whole idea of dual-wielding pistols is absurd and I definately don't want to see it done. There's no practical reason for doing it, and it definately goes against the current concept of Pistoleers as the flashy trick-shots of the ranged profession; thematically you just can't do those kinds of things with two pistols in your hands.

Not wanting to bring back this 'on-going urban-legend', but my thoughts were...


*Master Smug ability similar to Fan-shot called...ala...Duel Wield...


*Increase arc/area of effect of Fan-shot and apply other appropriate combat variable advantages/disadvantages...


*Have a special motion-sequence that shows your avatar pull out another pistol...most likely a dupe of the one your wieldin'...but not really


*But most importantly...So nobody goes on a 'nerf witch hunt'...It justs involves the pistol your wielding...

Like what?

We asked for fixed specials and well... Instead of fixing our specials they took them all away and replaced them with a couple generic specials.

Dual Wielding would be the one thing that will help define pistoleer and seperate us from dabblers and RM/Carbineer -- Granted its a MP skill, which it should be.

Pre-CD we had some nice specials. We had the melee-range KD, health shot 2, stopping shot, fan shot and a few others... Before they nerfed bleeds we also had health shot 1.

And if you were going full combat we also had torso shot, eye shot, bleeding shot, last ditch, panic shot among a few others.

Pre-CD, pure pistoleer users had more specials than any other combat professian, and useful specials at that which made us unique.

Now though... Now we got one damage shot and no dots or anything. You HAVE to couple MP with other combat professians as where before it could stand on it's own. Worse is that none of our specials make us unique seeing how they can be used by anyone.


The CD really screwed us over.

Dual Wield is exactly where it's always been. About halfway down the " Not Right Now" pile, with a post-it note that says " nifty idea" stuck to it.
