Who is actually using their states (Warning Shot, Intimidate Shot, Burst Shot, etc.) in PvE and PvP? I find that by the time I get them all applied that it's time to start reapplying them. I'd rather just stick with offensive (damage) specials and use kiting and Instant Stim D's to negate any damage taken.
If the states had a bigger effect OR they lasted longer (but not both), I'd use them a lot more often.
What are your thoughts?

Check my concept thread on Stun state,I have made some suggestions to the Dev team.
I dont really bother with states as they are currently, but I do like warning shot.

You are entirely correct, by the time you get done applying them its time to reapply them. I personally use them when in a large group and all i need to worry about is helping. But if there are 4 or fewer people (most of the time) I never bother using them with the exception of warning shot, as damage is still king. It's also interesting to note that many of those states don't work on droids... so good luck in the DWB.

Oh, I do like Paralyze/Throid Rupture/Shock/Inimidate though for ranged NPC's.

I've read the Stun state thread, Badger. I read all your threads. ![]()
I do like the idea of having the Blind/Dizzy/Stun mega-combo giving -30% to accuracy/damage/defense. (I'll post my opinion there shortly.)
I'd use that mega-combo if the states lasted longer OR the Improved/Advanced versions of the specials had MUCH better chances of sticking the states.

As it stands I don't really use states much, but I do tend to reach for confusion shot (yeah I know, I know, BH move) from time to time, and I'm pleasently suprised when I don't see +Resisted+ x2 every time. Its certainly not my default shot, but if its a reletively long fight I'll probably reach for it between looping my CC abilities. The state of states do need fixing though. How am I supposed to claim that I am a MasterStater in public if they don't stick.

aye, i find the SAC on warning shot is much too high for its own good. I find a /disarmingshot /shock /startleshot /aim /intimidate shot works every time. maybe if the state lower on warning shot (not just defense lowering) was better, id use it more often, but vs a defender it dosnt help much
