Thread: Weapon Repair Tools...

So I used one of these for the first time last night... 100% functionality rating.
It was apparently only marginally successful and my guns maximum condition dropped from 881 to 581.
What's that all about?? Is there some trick to using these more effectively? Or are they just not worth using at all?
It's got me scared about using my armour repair tools now...

100% doesn't mean guaranteed sucess.
Weaopnsmiths have hidden repair mods so you can get them to do it for you with the 100% tool, some even have +25 Weapon Repair SEA's on top of that.
Same with armousmiths...
So if you really want to keep your weapon in good condition, ask a Master Weaponsmith to do it for you, find one on your server with high weapon repair mods from SEA's for pretty much guaranteed repair rates..

The actual existance of repair mods that work is contested. Anyone have real data on repairs?

when i use repair tools i stand beside a crafting station, i never let the weapon decay beyond 25%, i turn around 3 times pray to the gods of war and i have never had anything but successes with the repair.
if this is pure luck or if all the things i have done actually helped im not sure of but i will never ever stop doing it ..

I doubt that would make any difference. Since the CU I havent broken or damaged any of my armour repairing it, but if really cared about it, like the pieces I have AA's in, I would take it to an armoursmith for repair.
