Thread: Just to clarify for everyone, the FWG5 has been nerfed, details inside

Heres the numbers first.


The max damage will now be 35-42 points lower.....


The speed has also increased anwhere from .3 to .4 (Slower)


The min damage is about the same. Maybe a point or two off.


We lost 38 max damage on my server.



So from what I understand, they did this to keep people form using krayt tissues and HVFM's in the same weapon....Or maybe they just wanted to nerf it. Well, they have nerfed it. The HAM is still better than a DX2, but with the DX2's AP, the Dx2 is now very comparable. So there we have it! They no longer need to "Fix" the Dx2! All they had to do was nerf the FWG5.


They also say that now there are Feed enhancers that are comparable to krayt tissues. Well, what about all the people who dont use those??? The base weapon has been nerfed.


Similar things have also happened to the Launcher, and scatter pistols. I think the bowcaster got nailed to...good thing, we all know those things were just super powered...

Btw, pre nerf pistols seem to be fine. Take good care of those

I thought Thunderheart said that they were going to increase the base damage on these things, so the average Joe Pistoleer wasn't affected.


Can someone find me the post where he said that? It was from this past weekend. I want to make a post about this on Correspondent forum.


Gotta run now but I'll be back in a bit, if anyone can find what Thunderheart said.

So lemme get this straight, post patch FWG5 pistols are nerfed for everyone, not just pistoleers.


Other weapons have been nerfed also, but we don't care cuz we don't use those.


And this affects just pistoleers how? Seems to me it affects the entire game. If there was a more or less universal nerf or certain weapons, so be it. You will now take maybe 3 more shots to kill a large beast, maybe 5 in PvP. And if the BHs friend, the scatter, was also nerfed, we didn't lose all that much.


Seems to be much ado about nothing.


Oh, the people who call pistols, or for that matter any weapon, a gun... your ignorance is showing. Please view Full Metal Jacket a time or two, you will get my meaning

Phil he said he would *talk* to the devs about increasing the FWG5 effectivness, he made no promises....


Scatters and Launchers got the same thing...

3 to 4 more shots to mob? LOL I see have never had a krayt tissue fwg5. With my best one I can do easy 2 to 3 times the dam of new fwg5. While some thought over powered.. What a joke. Overpowered is when someone has 3 at st's and is master ch. What takes me 10 20 mins to kill some mobs if I even suceed they do in just a few mins or less.


The main reason I cant stand people who use at st's is most seem to think they have the right to ks you. Arrogant ...holes. More than once I spamed them with insipid platitudes till they finally left area. Again they are the ones that need to be nerfed.


But that is not going to happen for one reason. That being that there is far less imps all the time and only way they are going to keep population at all is to give unlimited play with their toys.

FWG's and launcher pistols had their power handlers removed. this is effectively a nerf.


Scatters had their projectile feeds removed. This is effectively a nerf.


A bug was fixed in projectile feeds, this is a slight improvement to weapons that only ever used them, like strikersand tangles.
