Thread: Question on pistol damages, pre and post FWG5
I'm trying to figure out what the changes exactly are.
I currently have in my possession a FWG5 that ... well its leaps and bounds above any DX22 (or whatever the pistoleer novice pistols) and at the time I bought it, it cost me 8k.
Its damage is 70-270, and I believe speed 1.4(might be 1.8)
Is that normal damage, or did the master weapon smith use krayt tissue?
If a similar one were to be made today, what would the damage and speed be?
Is this a good pistol, to the point I should save it for a rainy day. Or is it still possible to make a similar one to replace this with in the future?
I already have trouble killing things right now, at novice pistoleer, and any decrease in effectiveness would probably have me selling back novice pistoleer and just keeping pistol IV for defence against aggro mobs(mostly for warning shot)
It's definitely krayt. it might also be sliced.
At the most basic, FWG'sare about 30 points of damage and .3 speed worse now.
And you can't use krayt tissue anymore, although there is allegely a good projectile feed enhancer out there. somewhere.
Figure on a pretty good FWG5 being around the 190 to low 200 range based on what I'm hearing. However, with newly made republic blasters functional...this is far less of an impact than we originally cringed against.
Best recommendation: If you have a krayt FWG5, hold on to it as long as you can, pick up a well made Republic Blaster and use that as your main gun unless something has a high energy resist, then switch to FWG5 or DX2 depending on which will work out better for you.
Even if you don't have a krayt FWG5...just get as good a one made as you can but stick to the republic blaster as your primary gun of choice and use FWG5 and dx2 only as needed.
