Thread: Confirmation on Dodge excelling in PvE circumstances
I was surprise engaged by a few Nocuous Karimuths tonight while running back to the Science Outpost on Dathomir. As a Master Pistoleer/Master Ranger with also the Ranged Support line of Marksman, I successfully dodged multiple attacks from the Karimuths and coupled with the increased Melee defense was able to take them down sans pet no problem.
This would not have been possible pre-patch and I had only dodged maybe once a week in PvE prior to patch.
As for PvP I can not report in that as I do not engage in PvP play. But, based on the reports I'm hearing...it sounds like there is an extra factor in PvP resulting in Dodge remaining about as effective as it was prior to patch.
Philosopher...I suggest you test both PvP and PvE in your tests this weekend. To avoid decay issues just run around buck naked or something and engage a decently hamed critter with something like a cdef so you don't auto-kill the bugger real quick. I'm seeing marked improvements in defense and in dodge in PvE situations here so its definitely worth testing.
That's easier said than done, but I'll do my best. I've been having enough trouble getting enough tests in for Defense v. Knockdown, given the 30 second timer. I'd have to be more creative to test Dodge in PvE. Maybe a small pet or something like that.
