Thread: What is the penalty to use a Launcher pistol?

I am going Master Pistoleer with lv4 BH pistol. So I have been wondering, what exactly is the penalty of not having a cert? Is it decreases accuracy, damage, increased ham cost, or...? I am running with a scatter, a dx2, scout, FWG2, republic, striker, and tangle, so I would love to add some blast damage.

I don't have the cert, but when I was using the launcher pistol I got from Leia I was getting single and low-double digit dmg. I might as well been throwing rocks.
