Thread: Need help to grind Pistoleer (No not holo, No didn't just do it for PvP, No not powergamer)
I have been playing pistoleer seince 6/30. I now am only 2/2/4/2 (LOL I play many other prof. on top thats why i'm so slow) Please tell me how you get your xp fast and help a guy out.
(i can tank lots of things got an AT-ST and a Grual Mauler. + 87% Armor)

Well,..with those kind of pets tanking,....Dathomir,....and anything resistant to heat/energy/acid,...assuming you have a FWG,...a DX2,...or a republic blaster. I have a dewback mount tanking for me,..and on certain creatures I can get 4k xp by bleeding,...and alternating stoppingshot,...2 bs2,...stopingshot,..etc. When the pet goes down,...I bleed and feigndeath,..when they are down to 1 health,..I get up and finish them off,...downside of this is you get newbs that run up on you,...kill your still bleeding target and try to heal you thinking that your incapped. To combat this,..I send tells to anyone who comes into my 64m range of whats going on and to please not gank my kill.
Kliknik Temple on Yavin; get a bunch of Klikniks aggroed onto your Mauler, and then Fan Shot away. They are acid vulnerable and do not death blow. Loot the Klikniks for glands which can be sold for a few credits, and check the piles on the bottom of the temple for minor treasure. You will get about 3500-4500 each kill.
Do the same thing to level the far right column, only use grenades, which give 100% combat XP, instead of Fan Shot.
You can cancel any state effects the Klikniks put on your Mauler by going inside, storing him, and then pulling him again.
Do this soon, before the great CH nerf goes through.
With those kinds of pets you can pretty much tank anything. Dathomir is a good place, and I know lots of people XP there. Personally I got the vast majority of my xp on Dantooine. The mobs there are tough enough to let you hit your xp cap with each kill, but many of them are vulnerable to energy (picket longhorns) and heat (seething bol crushers). Personally, I like the seething bol crusher missions. Payouts are around 13k (not the best, but still pretty good) and if you have a pet tanking them, you can pick them off pretty quickly with your FWG5. Each one will give you between 3,000 to 5,000 xp, and you should be able to master pistoleer in a few days.
Come to think of it, just use your graul mauler. No need to put your AT-ST in harm's way (potential of commandos running around). The mauler will handle anything the bols can throw at it, but won't do so much damage that it's steaing your xp.
I'm getting about 40-50K pistol xp each mission I run. I'm killing Slinking Voritors (the missions list as anything including and above 23K credits on Dantooine) using Fanshot. It's seriously some bad ass monkey move. I use 2 AT-ST's for speed (they don't take any xp away I find), you could probably use 2 pets or whatever. I get my AT-ST's to attack the nest right away, so all the creatures aggro my tanks. Then I run up close, get in a good position to hit as many as possible, then I rake in about 4500-5200 pistol exp each kill (about 9-10 spawns, 3 waves of 3 or more), except for the first one sometimes because the at's got to it first
Only problem I've had with this is if your spray is hitting the nest and one spawns...the creature will aggro you. try to turn your pets onto them as soon as possible...before they get in melee range. If that doesn't work use supression fire and hope you get a chance to run behind your tanks.
I'm getting 100K exp every 10-15mins (mind you I use sunburns so I don't loose health/action from specials)

Where is the Temple? I'm going for master so the nerf won't hurt me (i'm only 3/3/1/3 but i'm getting it fast)
