Thread: I think this is unfair
Yeah, but a master pistoleer who dabbles in Bh ends up being way better than a master Bh who dabbles in pistoleer. Neither professions are great alone.
Look at it this way, a master Bh has 3 different weapons, +2 melee defense and +24 ranged defense. So if a master Bh dabbles in pistoleer (3/0/4/0) he would only gain defenses and dodge and these mods would only count if he was holding a pistol so that would mean that he would end up using a carbine or llc rarely, because they would render him very vulnerable. But a master gunfighter can dabble in Bh pistol and still have great defense and great offensive capabilities.
As somebody wise once said:
I could see them having better specials.. or more speed.. or more accuracy.. or a better weapon.. but all four??
My problem with the pistoleer specials is that they don't target any one pool. It's random. In my opinion, this alone makes eye shot a better special than what pistoleer has.

if only bodyshot 3 was good, there's your single pool attack
even if body shot 3 was good i would still only use it in pve. the health bar is the hardest to deplete in pvp your best bet is mind (cause its unhealable) or action cause most combat professions use action for specials. atleast with fanshot and stopping there is a 45% chance of hitting action or mind.
The amount of xp needed is irrelevant.
You must consider the amount of skill points needed to master each proffession.
Master Pistoleers will have a huge variety of other proffessions to choose from to compliment their Pistol skills, because Master Pistoleer costs less in terms of skill points.
By the time a Bounty Hunter becomes Master, he/she has only a small handfull of skill points to spend complimenting their chosen proffession.
You shouldn't really compare the two, as they are very different.
Being a Master Pistoleer doesnot mean you will be the all powerfull in PvP.
And yes, i am going for Master Pistoleer, and have absolutely no BH skills whatsoever.
If you are getting completely obliterated by a BH, change your tactics and experiment with your specials.
If you stood outside a city AFK and blasted thugs to get most of your pistol xp, then you can't expect to win in PvP, because you have not learned how to use/ experimented with your specials.
Spamming one or two specials will not win a battle in PvP, unless your opponent has the tactical mindof a Chuba.
They are Bounty Hunters. Not pansys. They should have some unique kick arse specials.
Dont focus on their specials. Learn how to use your specials. ![]()
WEll my comment to the whole thing is this.....Master Pistoleers should be the BEST with the Pistol. But go up against a MBH using a pistol and they are faster, and their scatter does more damage than our DX2.
Master Pistoleer is by definition a Master of the Pistol= No one better with the pistol.
MBH = expert pistol=not as good as Master, he has other options, i.e. LLC, Carbine, etc....

ya your right - NERF THE BH's there to strong, they must do less damage than a pistoleer!!!! ok, you didnt say that, but it sure would be nice if all of our specials WORKED lol. But they do have to work to get their skills. I dont think its unfair.
ps. grats on becoming master, I'm still workin on it
