hello
i just got me a new pistol with 964 max
i have tried all abilites from pistoleer and the most i can do is 610 (imp. body shot) against a jedi with only 25 ranged defence (no other armor used) while i have 165 accuracy! if i apply warning shot with -80 defence im doing 636 instead of 610, not much diffrence.

disarming shot daze for about 6 sec and it breaks on damage.. a daze for only 6 sec and it breaks on damage sucks, why not make it like it should.. 6 sec but it wont break on damage. and now with anger state after a daze it can only be used every 20 sec.

ranged shot only does 407 damage which is close to min, 374.

adv. quick shot takes do much action to be any good. better with ranged shot and not run out of action in some seconds. (78 in sac on my pistol)

adv. fire arm strike only works in melee, has a warm up and does about 19 damage.. great!

imp. burst shot can stun target/area, no dizzy nor blind.

Initmidage Shot isnt worth trying to use since it doesnt make much diffrence.

i know pistoleer is a crowed control professions, but with this abilites its hard to control anything..

Depends on what you're fighting.



I can do over 1000 damage against a Jedi with that kind of defense...


Disarming Shot is a Mezz. All mezzes break on Damage. It does very little damage (Mezzes aren't supposed to... so in my opinion Startleshot needs to be adjusted). It would be incredibly overpowering if you could disarm and still damage your opponent. 6 seconds without reprisal is a LONG time in PvP.


Ranged Shot depends on your Weapon. You should make sure your weapon's minimum damage is high.


Intimidate Shot's necessary when something's hitting you. If you can land it, try it.



We do have the second-most powerful Root, though.

mezz = no movement or actions may be taken


daze = no actions (may just be no attacks, but i believe itapplies tohealing and other actions as well)but can move


root = no movement but can perform actions



disarming shot is a daze


roots and dazes really should not break on damage, mezzes should.


of course now they've gotten into this habit of calling mez moves 'a root+daze that break on damage', that while technically accurate leads to a great deal of confusion for using the terms interchangably.


paralyze and concusion shot are examples of mezzes, stopping shot is a root, disarming shot is a daze.

i did some test with a jedi friend and i have found that even with accuracy that is alot higher than his defense i was still hitting lower than my min on my pistol....there is something seriously wrong and/or misleading about the def and accuracy mods. i am hoping it is a bug and will be fixed soon. my tests were done with pure def and pure accuracy minus any enhancements on either side.

i dont understand why i should have high max since its only min that counts anyway.. ive noticed this now after i bought my self a new pistol for alot of money.

stoping shot is good. though i often miss that.

and this stats i said on my first message is without armor and so. the best damage i did against a mdefender was about 150. i used the best enchacers i could find for fire and poison but i still got outheald from force infusion. since im mcm/doc0004 i got good heals my self so i could survive a little time atleast.

but back to question number one. when i have 140 more accuracy then defence i should do max damage with ranged shot that is standard shot? the one i tested on had only 25 ranged defence and No armor. so why is the damage lower then max? as i said the best damage i did with body shot and warning shot was 636 damage with a 964 max pistol.
