IS this an overall defense bonus for pistoleers or defense vs. pistols?

Pistol Defense is an overal bonus added to Both defenses WHEN a Pistol is equiped

Has this been tested? This is reaqlly what i was hoping it would be.

yup that's what it is... same for any other mods like that...
Ex. Rifle Defence, Carbine Defence, etc...

I would like to know this , I assumed pistol defense would be defense against pistols ie. if someone shoots you with a pistol

Look on your character sheet (CTRL+C).
When you have the Show Details box unticked you can see your total melee and ranged defence.
When you click show details, you can see how your Pistol Defence helps both Melee and Ranged Defence.
The number in the brackets shows your base Melee and Ranged Defence and how much extra defence you get from your Pistol Defence.
You only get this bonus with a Pistol armed, if you disarm your pistol you only get your base defences, no Pistol Defence bonus.

im confused...so say u have pistol def + 5
thats +5 melee and + 5 ranged for a pistoleer?
not +5 def vs pistols for anyone?
did I say that right?
