I just purchased a custom intimidator pistol, and I am needing it sliced.

Here are the stats on it:

Damage: 385-948

Speed: 1.95

Wound: 26.45

SAC: 73

It's a pretty nice gun. From what I can tell the caps on the intimdator are:

Damage: 948

Speed: 1.73c

Wound: 26.45

SAC: ?

So obviously a damage slice is out since it's already capped on that. The speed cap is theoretical, as in I can't find anythin that CONFIRMS that the slicing speed cap is 1.73. It is known that the cap on crafting this pistol is 1.73 speed, but I don't know if it's the same for slicing or not.

So anyways, if I get a full 100% speed slice, it'll take the speed to the cap (actually it'll take it to 1.72, but will probably cap around 1.73 instead). Or, I could get alevel 3speed slice taking the speed up to 1.81, and do a level 1 crit hit slice. Or I could do something radically different.

What is your opinions?

I haven't talked to anybody who has hit a speed slice cap as of yet. That 1.73 is just the crafting cap, and speed slices much cap much lower if they are capped even at all.... no worries there. My favorite gun is a damage capped / low SAC Featherweight that I dropped a full 10% critical slice on. I also put a speed powerup on it... so I end up getting a lot of criticals in addition to shooting really fast.

I'd say you'll want at least a little bit of critical chance, it is really worth it. How much speed depends on your skillset.... I hit 0.98 mod speed on a pistol with 1.93 base speed and a speed powerup, and that's plenty fast enough. I also have another Featherweight that I dropped a 3 speed / 1 critical slice on. Mad fast, but the SAC is around 83 on that one. Burned SAC way too fast for my tastes. I guess I could put a SAC powerup on it, but I was planning on selling it since I purchased the other one.

Well my skill set is Master Doctor, Master Squad Leader, Novice Pistoleer. I have not read very indepth on the pub 24 stuff that's coming out for squad leader, but I doubt it'll have much for speed. And doc doesn't offer speed either. So basically the only things that will up my speed is anything that novice pistoleer offers (which isn't much) and the doc speed buff and the sl speed buff.

Ahh yeah, with that skillset you'll probably want all the speed you can get.

Withdmg capped, there's really only one way to go. Slice speed as high as you can slice it...then if it hits the slice cap before you reach tier-4, put the rest in crit.

is that bae or mod speed. Either way your left with speed or crit. If when using the gun your action drains quite fast hold off on the speed slices and go for crit.

I went ahead and got it full speed sliced like suggested.

Here are the new stats on the gun without a pup:

Speed: 1.74 (my modified speed is 1.33)
Damage: 385-948 (capped)
wounds: 26.45 (capped)
SAC: 73
Accuracy Bonus: 17
Base DPS: 383.1 (even though DPS means nothing)
my modified DPS: 500.76

I put my ADK on it too.

Since I'm a doctor I always have a speed buff and an action buff. I'm currently out of action buff food though (time to go shopping). So I burn through my action fairly fast, but not what I would consider 'too fast', it seems just right. When I was a Teras Kasi I would never run out of action, I would run out of mind first since I had to heal myself so often, but now as a SL with this weapon my action and mind drain at about the speed, which means it is well balanced for my template.

If you are wondering what weaponsmith crafted this wonderful gun, it would be Zakaii on Gorath. Dawnee can make them like this too.
