high guys need to know at what point modded dps is capped out and if critical hit slices work or if anyone has tested them out also what type of powerup should i use and what would be the most effective 2 or 3 shot combo with mbh pistols 0004 mcm

I'd do 2 or 3 speed slices and put the rest into critical. it does seem to work now, as i not only notice the +critical+ over my targets, but I also checked the combat log and saw a higher damage on that particular shot.

I'd slice 12% speed. Although the critical hit chance does work, it yields less total damage, unless you get really really lucky. BTW, don't look at DPS on your weapons as the big factor. Its as important as sockets on backpacks

If you are not retarded you 8% damage slice and then speed pup... higher min even though max is capped min does matter.

same holds for dps

imo i wouldn't buy a weapon b/c of dps, i had a pair of katarns that claimed "900" dps and when i switched to my hammer, i noticed much more dps, while it claimed only 600 dps

What is the damage cap on an unsliced unpowered up FWG5. Mines 957 or something. I am also interested in a slice/pup cause I figure, sure it'll decay, but what's the point having a gun for a long time if it SUCKS.

As a smuggler, I'd say full crit. You can always speed it up by other means if neccessary. That gun's almost identical to my featherweight, except mine wasn't made with an uberscope. I'm using a speed PUP for now, but I will probably change that once I get some speed attachments / FS speed skills. You will see +critical+ often, that's for sure.
