Just a rumor. But man... imagine a world without mind shots... PVP would be so much more fun and would last a lot longer.

I just wish there was something, as a master smuggler and master pistoleer I could do to win a PvP fight.

As a smuggler I know the template loosely allows me to "shoot and run." I guess that's what I'll have to do from now on.

If you disect all the information we've been given, the most likely conclusion is that mind will become healable since all ham will essentially become "Finate" so if you no longer "hurt yourself" in a sense, unlimited spamage goes out the window, thus allowing for mind to be healable, because it will work like all other HAM.

Dont worry though, when this goes live, and it wont for a while, it will go in with teh HAM changes, and no matter how bad a nerf it seems to rifleman and BH's, it will be 500 times worse for pistoleers, simply because we do less damage, and unlike both BH's and rifleman(although BH are ALMOST in the same boat as us) we MUST spam specials to do enough damage to win, keeping in mind a top of the line DXR6, or more likely a Jawa, a rifleman can almost match if not match our best damage in pvp with their autoattacks...

Thunderheart has been made fully aware of the confusion the wording of that post has caused. When he says "mind damage will be removed as a special damage type" he means "mind damage won't be so special, it will be on par with health or action." As stated before, if you read between the lines, that means Mind heals. Rest assured that players won't be able to spam stims with impunity, either. Things will become clear after the HAM revamp.

For now, developers aren't talking about the details. The reason Thunderheart isn't talking about it is because he himself hasn't seen it yet. We will all have an opportunity to play around with it and provide feedback once it hits TC, of course.
