Thread: a question about mods

Any mod that says aiming will only improve the effectiveness of using the /aim command, a skill you get at ranged support 1, so unless you have and use that it won't effect you at all. Even if you do use it, I don't know how helpful +10 is. What you're probably looking for is a + accuracy skill tape. I still don't know how much it affects you, but every little bit helps.
this is not true. There are tapes that give bonuses to "General Ranged Aiming". THis skill gives any ranged profession a boost to their aiming and ultimately has an effect on the number next to a targets name and you do not need to use the /aim command for this type of mod to work, it's a passive ability. It's probably true that he's looking for a accuracy tape though....but as far as how much a +10 is....I believe a +10 to any mod is great, simply because they only go as high as +25 and no single skill box will give you more than +10 in particular areas except the master boxes.....so having a skill tape that adds +10 to any skill is the equivalent of having a full skill box in your profession without all the other perks that a skill box provides.
for example, ranged support 3 and 4 in marksmanonly give +5 to general ranged aiming in each box, therefore a +10 tape in this area would be equivalent to having both boxes in ranged support without ranged defense, alertness and the specials. This is how valuable any +10 SEA is.......
As far as the tapes that just say Aiming, your right about thembeingthe ones that boost the effectiveness of the /aim command. other specific aiming tapes effect the particular area that the tapes says, i.e. the general ranged aiming tape.
