I'm aspiring to the doc/pistoleer prof. & have just achieved master in each. My questions:

  • does "splicing" do anything for a scout blaster (my weapon of choice- or is there a better one)? and what is "splicing"?

  • what r the most effective "moves" (w/ regard to pistol use)- the ones I should put on my toolbar

  • will I ever be able to take out a "red" dot NPC or do the white/blue/green/etc lvls change as my skill level changes?

  • any links to guides you've found to be hlpful would be great.

Thanks tons for reading & advising!!

1. Slicing (not splicing) is a way for smugglers to increase your weapon's performance. Slicing can either increase a weapon's speed, or its damage, by a certain %. Sometimes, however, depending on your slicer it may fail. Sliced weapons lose condition faster than unsliced ones, also.

2. BodyShot2 is your bread and butter special for general damage-dealing. HealthShot2 and HealthShot1 are good for hitting a target with first, if you think the target will last long enough for the bleed to tick. Warningshot (from the ranged support tree) is invaluable in many situations. PistolMeleeDefense1 will be critical to your soloing, once you get it.

3. The "con" color ofa target changes as you get more powerful. However, by kiting or by using PistolMeleeDefense1, you can kill some red cons. Others... well, hehe.

Enjoy.

kiting basically means running away from the mob and shooting (the mob is the kite) there are more advanced tactics involved but ill let you figure those out cuz its 3 am and i dont feel like typing anymore

One thing to clear up about the red cons, not every red is dangerous or remotely unhappy, it justmeans they are aggressive and will attack you. Kreetles are still red to me and Im an expert pistoleer.

Chridder you are talking about aggro on the radar, he was meaning the con when you target them. As in green, blue, white, yellow, and red. I always have my weapons sliced as it is a great way to get that extra punch outta your weapon, down side is that you can not repair a weapon or armor after it has been sliced. I am a novice pistoleer and definately looking forward to getting the advanced moves soon. I use healthshot2 and bodyshot2 like they were my savior because they are

For the last time, sliced items CAN in fact be repaired.

I repeat: You CAN repair sliced items.

Thanks.
