Thread: Which tree do you think is the most valuable to obtain first?
Sure, a lot of people will say the fourth tree for pistol whip, but since the xp in that is based off Combat xp, it's really not like you have to make a choice to pick it up.
However, the first three trees in pistoleer require pistol xp as well all know, and since it does come down to making a choice, which tree do you think is the most valuable to pick up first and why?
I'm just curious what most people have decided to go for...I just qualified for an intermediate skill and have no idea what to choose. =)
I hope you hear from someone who chose stances and also from someone who chose that other one that leads to bodyshot3, as I can only tell you what I did.
I went for marksmanship. I felt that the stat gains would make it easier over all to start filling the other trees. I also went ahead and got ranged IV (I was at 54k and so close to pistol whip). Sure I am not getting any of the skills that are suppose to be so good. But what skills I have are much much more effective. I just filled my second marksman box 2 nights ago, and Rouge Banthas now con blue to me. I can now solo alot of things I couldn't before. I may not have picked the "coolest" tree to grind first, but I can say that I am satisfied with the choice I made.
I too agonized over which tree to grind first when I hit my first 175k xp. Luckily, after choosing a week ago to grind marksmanship, I feel it was a good choice. I have seen improvments, and can do quite a bit more than I could before.
Again hopefully you will get some other replies so you can pick and choose. I honestly don't know the benefits of the other trees. I can only recommend the one I chose.
I was originally going marksmanship but the Stances and Grips looks a whole lot cooler!
That's my first play now.
You can't go wrong with Tactics or Stances. I have 3,1,4,2 at the moment and I am still playing around a lot with BS3, Stopping Shot and Fan Shot. I also use Disarm Shot 1 for busting nests. So while there are more moves you'll use in Stances, my all time biggest lifesaver move is still:
/pmd1; /bs3; /bs3; /pmd1; /bs3; /bs3 ...
Kills mobs dead fast.
