I mastered pistoleer today and ive been trying to think of ways im going to make the game last for a long time now. Ive already done the BH pistol line too. Heres what ive come up with so far, post anything that you are already doign to want to do to make it last as long as possible.

-First off im goign to cut down my play time by a lot.

-Get up faction points, this should probably take a whille to max so itll be a kinnda side project

-I can put alot of time into helping the guild im in grow.

-Im going to try to get a bunch of pistol skill enhancers to give my character more of an edge.

So for those of you who have already reached master what have you been doing?

Well when I mastered scout and Creature Handler a while ago, I was able to finally go and explore all the planets in my never ending search for the greatest pet. Well that got old after about a week of full time exploring so I decided to waste the rest of my points on Pistoleer. That has consumed me on and off for the last week and a half now (I'm currently at 3,2,3,2). Now my major task is finding out where to dump points. I have novice medic with FA at 2. So will probably drop my scout skills so that I can go for Master Pistoleer.

One of my ideas would be to explore- the problemwith exploring though is formost peopleunless your surveying or taming creatures there really isn't any reason to do it especially if your a pure combat class. I think thats the only disadvantage pure combat classes have as of right now with the end game. Until they add more content its just not as exciting for you guys to go and explore. PvP is your end game mainly. Looking for new and improved power-ups sounds fun to but don't they max out at 33% improvement?

After this big patch is released, I think the content level is going to go up extremely so thats good news.

After I got master pistoleer/creature taming/slicing, I did about 2 days of pvp, and that got old seeing who could hit their knockdown button the fastest. Then I farmed faction enough to get a marine helm, then they nerfed the spawn, so I started a BH on tempest . Plan on going for master BH, then get bored again and prob start a weaponsmith on a new server heh.

i mastered pistol and bh4 about 2 weeks ago. and this is what i have found to do.... nothing. this game offers crappy pvp that even if it was great still wouldnt fill enough time to be worth the monthly. you can work on fp if want but not really anypoint to it except pick up a few perk items. no great loot to find, no uniques to kill, no exp to gain to build your char any further. this game has no longevity whatsoever for the hardcore gamer(i am one of these). in fact im shocked at the complete lack of content that is being offered. this game is a sophisticated SWG chat room not much more. oh can work on becoming a jedi i guess. yeah thats fun , running around trying to figure out the unknowable all for the right to get a permadeath slot char. i believe the jedi thing is intended to be therabbit thehardcore gamers chase. but its not enough , at least for me.

have you people who are bored done any of the theme parks? i haven't mastered anything except scout, i got completely bored with the XP game and was ready to stop playing when i just decided to shut off my XP monitor and do something else.

that something else turned into going to get access to jabba's place. sure it'll only take me a day or two to complete the missions, but there's always the rebel base AND the imp base. it's just a way for me to have fun.

if you can't find fun anymore, then you probably should stop playing and go spend a monthly fee with another MMO. but come back to this one, because the content will only increase as the game goes on.

Amazing guys how you can play, play, play and get to Master this game? Don't you guys work, have a social life, do other things normally every day of the week? I have seen exactly this same type of post with all th other major rpg games online. Basically it turns out that the "fun" for some players is "conquering" the game getting to be number one, beating the system. Well, guess what that sums up as a boring game experience. That's what I have found and that's why I have opted for a different approach to these games. I play to enjoy it, have fun socializing, exploring slowly, relax myself, forgeting real life difficulties... etc. And the game works great at that. I level up nicely and.... maybe the issue is that this game isn't too hard to beat. Maybe it needs to be harder.

Regarding the "nothing to do at high level" well that isn't necesarily going to stay that way. I am sure expansions will add to it. But meanwhile do live life more and do yourselves a favor, don't make the game your life, there will a lot more fulfilling game experience if you don't. Take care...

The worst thing I think for powergamers to realize is that everyone only gets a set amount of skill points and HAM. You know what that means guys? In a month or so, everyone will be as strong as you. No lvl 60 wizards, no ultra-powerful characters, nothing. You have the skills you chose, your equipment, and a huge star wars world. Have fun.

I'm nowhere near Master yet, but I do have a few plans... *eg*

I try to be friendly as possible to everyone I meet. If the mood strikes, I will change my title to 'Homemaker' (got it from Domestic 4 in the artisan tree, I am also going for Master Artisan), then walk around picking fights.

I'm amazed how belligerent non-hardcore games can be about the complaints of hardcore games. Just because someone plays differently than you doesn't make their complaints any less valid.

Accept his complaints for what they are -- a lack of outlet for his chosen style of play;a lack of goals in the gamethat would befun to him. The Devs need to know who isn't being made happy, so they can decide if they want to do something about it.

Why are you so intent on attacking a style of play that he finds enjoyable?

Drop something and master soemthing else. I was a Master CH and Pistoleer but I dropped CH and mastered smuggler. Now I started a PA so I have plenty to keep me busy.

Aww how sad are you. I hang out with friends often, and work 30+ hours a week (would be 40 if I could get the hours), and play(ed) enough to max out my char (master pistoleer/slicer/creature tamer) in a month. See, there are 2 types of people who play mmo's: those who enjoy it, and those who enjoy it yet feel ashamed that they spend time on a game. You are obviously the latter because you have to make yourself feel better by insulting those who play more. I'm comfortable with the fact that I play a lot. I love mmo's, and I have no problem admitting it. I'm sorry to see you do.

And yes, the fun for many people, including myself, is achieving. I like to race to be the first at something, or to level fast enough that I can take out 5 opposing faction players at once. It may be boring for you, but your casual never-get-anywhere playstyle is boring to ME.

If you don't feel like reading all that, the gist of it is this: you're an idiot.

Wow...master pistoleer and master BH?? For those people complaining about "theres nothing to do now...im a master of everything"... noone told you you had to exploit the baz nitches, the tuskan raider camp, or anyone of the other "fast xp hot spots". Because to be a master BH/pistoleeralready... I dont see how you could have done it otherwise.I wont bash anyone for putting alot of hours into the game, cause I myself do. But you wont see me on Dathmir for 2 weeks strait just to master pistoleer. That takes the fun out of the game...in my eyes. But to each their own. But dont do it and complain about it afterwards.

I would like to think that with the next big patch this game will grow and give more options. But if it doesnt...just looks like you guys will be moveing onto another game while i continue to enjoy this one.
